Definitions
- the present invention relates to rotating spoons serving as lures used for fishing for predatory fish and relates in particular to a fishing spoon with an interchangeable paddle.
- the effectiveness of a lure is a function of two parameters which are the speed of rotation of the spoon in the water and the intensity of the aquatic vibrations intended to alert and attract the fish.
- the main drawback of a rotating spoon is the twisting of the fishing line resulting from the friction of the pallet retaining stirrup on the wire which decreases the speed of rotation of the spoon .
- the fisherman must then mount on his line an additional accessory, the swivel.
- the swivel has the disadvantage of distorting the swimming of the spoon especially when the fisherman wants to practice the ultra light, that is to say fishing with very light spoons, so with a very fine thread.
- the other parameter ie the intensity of vibrations in the aquatic environment, must be able to be increased if necessary.
- the assembly of two pallets in “tandem” makes it possible to partially obtain the desired effect, but has the drawback of greatly reducing the speed of rotation of the spoon and therefore losing part of the efficiency which has been improved elsewhere.
- the object of the invention is to provide an interchangeable paddle spoon which prevents the wire from twisting while not requiring the use of a swivel.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a spoon of the above type and having two pallets placed in opposition so as to substantially increase the vibrations produced.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a spoon of the same type having a blade intended to increase the vibratory effect of the spoon.
- the object of the invention is therefore a fishing spoon comprising an open bracket having at least one hooking loop for hanging at least one interchangeable pallet.
- the stirrup is made of flexible material and preferably of plastic material with a low coefficient of friction and is provided with a thread passage bore of a diameter sufficient for water to flow in threads between the thread and the 'caliper so that there is almost no more friction of the caliper on the wire which may cause the wire to twist.
- Figure 1 shows schematically the bottom line comprising the different elements of the spoon according to a first embodiment of the invention
- Figure 2 is a partially sectional view showing the bracket used to hang the pallet and the nets water flowing between the wire and the bore of the stirrup, in the first embodiment of the invention
- FIG. 3 is a schematic representation of a stirrup on which two pallets are hung, according to a second embodiment of the invention
- FIG. 4 is a schematic representation of a stirrup comprising a blade according to a third embodiment of the invention.
- the leader implementing the invention and illustrated in Figure 1 consists of a hook 10, a sinker 12, a rolling bead 14, a lateral spacing warhead 16, d a longitudinal positioning bead 18 and an “open” stirrup 20 on which, in a first embodiment of the invention, a single pallet 22 is hooked.
- the stirrup 20 comprises a flexible branch 24 which allows, by bending, an opening authorizing the introduction of the hooking loop 26 of the pallet 22.
- the stirrup shown partially in section in FIG. 2 is made of slightly flexible material and having a low coefficient friction, for example plastic such as polyethylene, polypropylene Teflon (registered trademark) or polyacetal preferably.
- the branch 24 being flexible, it can be easily removed so as to introduce the hooking loop 26.
- a bore in the stirrup 20 sufficient for the wire 28 to be fairly free inside the caliper and is not tight.
- the water can flow freely according to the threads 30 shown schematically in the figure.
- This circulation water added to the low coefficient of friction of the internal wall of the bore virtually cancels any friction of the stirrup on the wire 28 which can cause the wire to twist.
- the bore preferably has a diameter greater than 0.20 mm than the diameter of the wire and that the guide length of the stirrup 20 is preferably equal to 10 times the diameter of the bore.
- the stirrup 40 comprises two flexible branches 42 and 44 in opposition with respect to the wire 28 allowing the attachment of two pallets 46 and 48.
- the presence of the two pallets in opposition has for effect of doubling the intensity of the vibrations transmitted into the water and likely to attract the fish, without really influencing the speed of rotation of the spoon because the length of the spoon remains the same.
- the lure therefore has improved efficiency while retaining its homogeneity.
- the fisherman can mount on his spoon two pallets of different shapes, sizes and colors, which makes the lure more attractive and very flexible.
- the stirrup 50 comprises on the one hand, a single flexible hooking branch 22 for hanging a pallet 54 thereon, and on the other hand a blade 56 opposite the branch 52 resembling a small rudder.
- the blade 56 When recovering the spoon, the blade 56 creates a clean vibratory effect which is added to the vibratory effect created by the pallet 54 and therefore increases the effectiveness of the lure as in the second embodiment.
- the blade plays the role of a speed regulator which prevents too high a speed of rotation of the spoon around the wire 28. This regulation is very useful in the case of rapid currents of water which tend to increase the speed of rotation of a conventional spoon and take it out of the water.
