Im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel sind die Begrenzungswände 12, 13 glockenartig ausgebildet, wobei die in der Zeichnung obere Begrenzungswand 12 eine zentrale Eintrittsöffnung in den von den Flügeln bzw. Stegen 14 in mehrere Kanäle unterteilten Innenraum freiläßt. Die Glockenform der Begrenzungswände umfaßt einen mittleren Bereich, in dem die Axialerstreckung größer als die Radialerstreckung ist, wobei die Begrenzungswand 12 in diesem mittleren Bereich einen Auslaß 6 aufweist, der als umfänglicher Schlitz ausgebildet und durch zwei sich radial erstreckende, mitrotierende Flansche begrenzt ist. Die Begrenzungswände 12, 13 des Trennelementes 4 enden im untersten Bereich der Glockenform annähernd radial, und bilden einen Auslaß 7, wobei sich der Abstand zwischen den beiden Begrenzungswänden 12, 13 von der zentralen Eintrittsöffnung zum Auslaß 7 hin vorzugsweise verringert. Die Flügel bzw. Stege 14, die bevorzugt schaufelartig gekrümmt sind, enden am Auslaß 7.
