Abstract

L'invention concerne un élément fusible amélioré (18) comportant une longueur d'un métal ou d'un alliage de métaux présentant une température de fusion égale ou inférieure à 450 °C, tel qu'un alliage de zinc. Il est possible de raccourcir l'élément fusible pour en accroître l'intensité nominale. L'élément fusible (18) comporte de façon caractéristique une longueur d'un métal ou d'un alliage de métaux présentant deux extrémités opposées (22, 24), qui a été frappée sur une partie de sa longueur située entre ces deux extrémités. La frappe permet de produire une partie aplatie (36) de diamètre accru. On peut placer de un à trois trous dans la partie aplatie (36), et ébarber celle-ci de matière excédentaire. L'élément fusible (18) amélioré peut présenter une section transversale circulaire, et a de préférence un diamètre compris entre 0,100' et 0,500'.
