Abstract

The main feature of the constructional solution of the massage apparatus with vertical eccentric rollers is that the round handle is fixed on the upper part of the disc, which has on the bottom side self-locking hubs with vertical eccentric rollers clamped in that turn radially around their own axis and simultaneously together with the hub also eccentrically. The massage apparatus enables simple movement over all parts of the body in all directions and thus also in the rotating directions. The massage apparatus with vertical eccentric rollers as per invention is mounted so as to insert cylinder (2e) of handle (2) into the inner cylinder (1d) of disc (1). The edge of the wider cylinder (2d) of handle (2) fits into the ring (1c) of disc (1). Into the inner cylinders of parts (11) with four springs (1m) and pins (1m') there are to be pushed caps (4f) of hubs (4) which with their edges (4f') fit into the pins (1i') of disc (1). Into the middle of part (1j) with four springs (1i) and pins (1i') there is to be pushed the cap (4f) of hub (4) which fits with edge (4f') onto the pin (1i''). In this way rollers (3) can be easily and reliably stuck into the self-locking bearing. The rollers (3) can be removed by simply pulling them out.

Description

MASSAGE APPARATUS WITH VERTICAL ECCENTRIC ROLLERS
The subject of the invention belongs to massage apparatuses, more exactly to hand massage apparatuses.
The technical solution is the construction design of the massage rollers which can be by way of hand or electric drive rotated around their horizontal axis and simultaneously also around the vertical axis of the hub which is clamped into a disc or other holding frame of optional shape. The construction of the section for clamping the hub into the holding frame must enable simple mounting and dismantling of the rollers. Due to the construction of the apparatus driven manually or electrically, all rollers must remain reliably clamped in the holding frame. For the clamping of the hub into the holder it is necessary to solve the problem of self-lubrication of the joints as well as of the transverse axis of the roller.
Until now massage apparatuses have been constructed with classical wheels of different shapes which as such serve as massaging wheels. There are known various massage apparatuses, designed for the massage of particular body parts and applied either manually or electrically driven.
The main feature of the constructional solution of the massage apparatus as per invention is the round handle, fixed on the top of the disc which has on its bottom part clamped in self-locking hubs with vertical eccentric rollers, turning simultaneously radially around their own axis and together with the hub also eccentrically. The massage apparatus enables simple massage of all body parts in all directions and therefore also the movement into all rotating directions.
Below, the massage apparatus with vertical eccentric rollers shall be described in detail by means of pictures showing:
picture 1 - side view of massage apparatus with vertical eccentric rollers as per invention picture 2 - cross-section of massage apparatus picture 3 - side view of disc 1 picture 4 - cross-section of disc 1 picture 5 - roller picture 6 - cross-section of roller The massage apparatus with vertical eccentric rollers has a basic disc 1 which narrows from semicircular edge la towards the middle by way of a curved line lb to round ring lc. In the middle of disc 1 there is inner cylinder Id which is over curved part le joined with cylinder part If and four ribs lg. Near semicircular edge la of the basic disc there are five round holes lh, equally distributed on the circumference. From bottom edge la the bottom part of disc 1 is by way of curved line Ik shaped into central part lj which is a combination of a flat cylinder and a circular segment. In the inner cylinder of part lj there are four springs li with pins li'. On the rim of the bottom part of the disc there are five smaller parts 11 with the shape of a flat cylinder within which there are four springs lm with pins lm'.
Handle 2 has on the outside the shape of a circular segment with a shallow hollow 2a in the middle and a semicircular edge 2b which is through a curved line joined with a wider flat cylinder 2d extended into a narrower flat cylinder 2e. In the inside of cylinder 2d and cylinder 2e there is a hollow cylinder 2f, which can be filled with massage oil. The diameter of cylinder 2e is such as to fit tightly into the inner cylinder Id of disc 1.
Wheel 3 consists of eccentric hub 4, semicircle 3a and semicircle 3b. Semicircles 3a and 3b have on their rim six ball-shaped bulges 3c. Hub 4 consists of round plate 4a with extended part 4b which has a round hole. In the inside of semicircle 3a there is cylinder-shaped part 3a', in the inside of which is axis 3a" going through the round hole in the extended part 4b of hub 4 and fits tightly into the inner hole of cylindrical part 3 b" of semicircle 3b. Around cylindrical part 3b" of semicircle 3b there is cylindrical part 3b'. In the upper part of hub 4 there is semicircular part 4c which narrows into a very flat cylinder 4d, from the inside of which cylinder 4e is coming out covered by cap 4f with edge 4 . Hub 4 is made of a plastic material with self-lubricating substances, whereas semicircles 3a and 3b are made of ABS thermoplastic. Hub 4 and semicircles 3a and 3b can be also made of other equivalent natural or artificial materials. The different quality of the material assures permanent self-lubrication and soundless rotation. Minimum resistance is also the result of the small diameter of axis 3a" of semicircle 3a.
The massage apparatus with vertical eccentric rollers as per invention can be mounted so as to insert cylinder 2e of handle 2 into the inner cylinder Id of disc 1. The edge of the wider cylinder 2d fits into the ring lc of disc 1. Into the inner cylinders of parts 11 with four springs lm and pins lm1 there are to be inserted caps 4f of hub 4 which with their edges 4f fit into the pin li' of disc 1. Into the middle of part lj with four springs li and pins li' there is to be pushed cap 4f of hub 4 which fits with edge 4f onto pin li'. In this way the rollers 3 can be easily and reliably stuck into the self-locking bearing. The rollers can be removed by simply pulling them out.
The massage apparatus with vertical eccentric rollers enables by way of hand or electric drive the rollers to be rotated around its horizontal axis and simultaneously around the vertical axis of hub 4. It is possible to insert into or remove from disc 1 a certain number of rollers 3 and thus increase the adaptability of the massage apparatus for the massage of individual body parts (for example for knee and elbow massage the middle roller is to be removed). The holding disc can be constructed so as to enable more rollers to be mounted on the bottom part. The holding frame can also be of various shapes to give the massage apparatus a completely new form. The number of rollers 3 goes from 1 to 21. If the holders are of various shape, the number of rollers is optional too. The advantage of the massage apparatus as per invention is to enable simple mounting with no additional tools required and practically no damages are possible if the apparatus is used in a normal way.
The main advantage in the use of the massage apparatus as per invention is effective movement of the apparatus and all its segments into all directions and thus also in the rotating directions irrespective of how the apparatus is held. The circular motion is adapted to individual body parts and the rotating radius is optional. Thus the apparatus as per invention practically means an extension of the hand and improves the effects that are acquired through massage which could not be achieved with roller massage apparatuses known so far, since they can due to the clamped rollers be moved only forwards and backwards or to the left and to the right and therefore the apparatuses are to be moved and turned respectively or changed from one hand into the other and thus enable massage in a single direction only, and by no means circular massage. The ergonomic design of this apparatus assures it to be always properly held.
