Abstract

The invention relates to a gerotor pump for aqueous viscous media which has preferably a two-piece pump housing consisting of pump chamber housing (3) and connection cover (29), and has, in the pump chamber housing, a pump chamber in the form of a circular cylindrical cavity (5) with a gerotor running carriage (9) accommodated therein. The gerotor running carriage (9) is rotationally driven by the motor shaft (11) of a driving motor (13) which is mounted immediately on the pump housing. The motor shaft (11) is encircled in the pump chamber housing (3) by a groove (68) which is directly connected to a cavity (70) in the suction area of the pump chamber (5), so as to be able to introduce leakage liquid via the groove (68) into the suction area of the chamber (5). In the connection cover (29) there is a channel (49) connecting the suction side with the delivery side, with a valve inside which, depending on the pressure on the delivery side, diverts excess carrying capacity to the suction side. The valve can alternatively be designed as a carrying capacity control valve.
