Description

OUTIL A MAIN TEL QU'UNE PAIRE DE CISEAUX A ORGANE DE PREHENSION PIVOTANT ET RAPPEL ELASTIQUE HAND TOOL SUCH AS A PAIR OF PIVOTING GRIPPED SCISSORS AND ELASTIC RECALL
OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to hand tools such as a pair of scissors or a pair of pliers, in particular pairs of scissors for cutting hair by a hairdresser.
With traditional scissors, the user engages two fingers of hand in two respective receiving members consisting of rings mounted fixed at the end of the operating arms of the scissors.
We know that, for a client's haircut, the hairdresser must be able to keep the pair of scissors that he uses in a substantially constant position, practically in a vertical plane, regardless of the place of the cut on and around the head of the client and the relative position thereof which, obviously, does not remain immutable during a whole hairdressing session. Depending on the position of the head to be styled or the location of the cut, it is necessary to orient the cutting blades properly to adjust the cutting plane. By the fact that the rings are fixed, this orientation is sometimes difficult, and in particular requires a variable rotation of the wrist, in certain cases at the limit of the latter's ability to move.
A provides for this that each of the branches provided with the rings in which the fingers of the hairdresser's hand engage is provided with an adjustable connection, making it possible to freely rotate each of the rings along a longitudinal axis of pivoting parallel to the longitudinal axis of each of the articulated elements. It is thus possible to modify the inclination of the plane of the rings with respect to the cutting plane of the blades. The device described in this document requires using the two hands of the hairdresser to adjust the pivoting of one and the other of the rings around their respective longitudinal pivot axis Also, the adaptation of the thumb in the second receiving member, bearing against the bearing face of the ring, induces a force of pivoting of the tool, force which the user must balance by the ring finger inserted in the first receptor organ II results in mutile fatigue of the fingers
Scissors are known as described in document WO 92 12832 A, comprising first and second articulated elements around an intermediate common axis, each element comprising a cutting blade extended beyond the axis of articulation by a branch provided with a receiving member suitable for operation by the end of a hand finger of the hairdresser . The holding of the pair of scissors is carried out by engaging the ring finger of the hand in a closed receiving member consisting of a pivoting ring of the first branch, and by engaging the thumb of the hand in a fixed and open receiving member second branch with longitudinal end portion and transverse support structure. The first branch held by the ring finger remains substantially fixed during cutting.
Although the handling is improved, there is however a difficulty in holding the scissors in orientation, in particular because of a significant risk of lateral sliding of the thumb in one stationary receiving member of the second branch. Braking in rotation of the ring can limit the risk of slipping, but then increases the efforts of holding the scissors and the fatigue which results therefrom. Also, when entering the scissors, the orientation of the ring is random and requires a first orientation maneuver, generally with both hands.
EXPOSE DE L'INVENTIONDocument US 3,906,630 A describes a pair of scissors having two closed ring receiving members. At least one of the rings pivots freely around a longitudinal axis by an amplitude of ± 30 ° limited by stops formed by screws or pins. The device has the same drawbacks as that of document FR 2 627 421 A, by the presence of the two rings constituting closed receiving members. STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION
La présente invention vise notamment à pallier ces inconvénients, en proposant une structure nouvelle d'outil, pouvant être utilisée non seulement pour une paire de ciseaux de coupe de cheveux, tiais également pour une paire de pinces telles que des pinces de chirurgie, la structure étant telle qu'elle permet d'améliorer sensiblement la tenue de l'outil, sans induire de fatigue des doigts Un problème proposé par la présente invention est ainsi de concevoir un outil présentant simultanément les particularités suivantesThe present invention aims in particular to overcome these drawbacks, by proposing a new tool structure, which can be used not only for a pair of hair cutting scissors, but also for a pair of pliers such as surgical pliers, the structure being such that it makes it possible to appreciably improve the behavior of the tool, without inducing finger fatigue. A problem proposed by the present invention is thus to design a tool having simultaneously the following particularities
- l'outil doit pouvoir être tenu par un seul doigt de main, à savoir l'annulaire, passé dans une structure particulière de premier organe récepteur, l'outil ne devant pas pivoter exagérément autour de ce doigt, - le second organe récepteur, conformé pour recevoir le pouce de la même main, doit assurer une grande liberté de mouvement de ce pouce pour son introduction et son extraction par rapport audit second organe récepteur, de façon que l'introduction et l'extraction du pouce s'effectuent sans nécessiter de déformations excessives des doigts de la main, l'outil devant en outre assurer une bonne tenue du pouce dans le second organe récepteur, sans risque excessif de glissement latéral, the tool must be able to be held by a single hand finger, namely the ring finger, passed through a particular structure of the first receiving member, the tool not having to pivot excessively around this finger, - The second receiving member, shaped to receive the thumb with the same hand, must ensure a great freedom of movement of this thumb for its introduction and its extraction with respect to said second receiving member, so that the introduction and extraction of the thumb are performed without requiring excessive deformation of the fingers of the hand, the tool also having to ensure good grip of the thumb in the second receiving member, without excessive risk of lateral sliding,
- pendant l'actionnement de l'outil par le pouce et l'annulaire, les efforts de rotation de l'outil induits par le pouce doivent être équilibrés par l'appui naturel des autres doigts sur l'outil, sans nécessiter d'efforts supplémentaires de compensation.- during the actuation of the tool by the thumb and the ring finger, the forces of rotation of the tool induced by the thumb must be balanced by the natural support of the other fingers on the tool, without requiring efforts additional compensation.
To achieve these and other objects, the hand tool according to the invention, such as a pair of scissors or a pair of pliers, in particular a pair of scissors for cutting hair, comprises a first and a second elements hinged together around an intermediate common axis, each element comprising a useful part such as a cutting blade or a pliers head, the first element comprising a first operating branch provided with a first receiving member closed with a ring suitable for the transverse engagement of the end of a user's finger, the ring being able to pivot about a longitudinal pivot axis of the first operating branch, the second articulated element comprising a second branch of maneuver comprising a second fixed and open receiving member with a longitudinal end part associated with a transverse support structure developing substantially in the pivot plane of the articulated elements strips opposite the first articulated element, the support structure having a concave support face oriented towards the free end of the second branch. In addition, according to the invention - stops limit the pivoting of the ring around the longitudinal pivot axis between a first extreme position in which the ring is substantially in the plane perpendicular to the common intermediate axis and a second extreme position in which the ring is pivoted away from the first position in the direction of rotation such that the face by which the finger engages in the ring is oriented towards the outside, - elastic return means urge the ring in rotation about the longitudinal pivot axis to bring it back to the first position.
With such a structure, the user can hold the tool by engaging the end of his ring finger in the ring of the first receiving member, and can maneuver the tool by the end of his thumb resting on the second receiving member . The range of motion required to orient the tool during use is limited, reducing fatigue. The elastic return in rotation of the ring promotes the support of the thumb in the second receiving member and reduces the risks of transverse sliding, while simultaneously promoting the return of the tool to a rest position during storage.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the articulation between one receiving ring and the first operating branch may comprise an axial handle integral with the ring, and pivotally engaged in a corresponding axial bore of the first operating branch. The handle may advantageously include a radial protrusion engaged in a sectoral bore housing whose end faces form stops against which selectively bears the radial protrusion of the axial handle in the respective extreme positions of the ring. The elastic return means may comprise a helical torsion spring, housed in the axial bore in extension of the axial handle, and the ends of which are engaged respectively in the axial handle on the one hand and in the wall of the first operating branch d 'somewhere else. According to a preferred embodiment, an annular space is formed between an external shoulder of the axial ring handle and the end edge of the first operating branch, and an anneaα made of elastic material is engaged in said annular space and protrudes radially. outside said space to form a damping stop against which the second tool branch comes to bear at the end of the pivoting stroke of the articulated elements.
DESCRIPTION SOMMAIRE DES DESSINSThe support structure may advantageously be a rod, one connection end of which is integral with the second branch of a second articulated element, said rod being curved in S according to a first concavity starting from the connection end and facing the free end. second branch, and according to a second concavity facing outward in the free end of the rod area. As an alternative, the support structure of the second operating branch can be a transverse rod ending in a fixed or rotary ball. The ball shape promotes oblique finger presses in certain positions. OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS In the embodiments shown in the figures, the hand tool according to the invention is a pair of scissors. The pair of scissors comprises, in a conventional manner, a first element 1 and a second element 2 articulated to each other around an intermediate common axis 3. The first articulated element 1 comprises a useful part 4 in the form of a cutting blade with a cutting edge 5, which extends beyond the intermediate common axis 3 by a first branch 6 provided with a first receiving member 7 adapted for operation by the end of a hand finger of a user Similarly, the second articulated element 2 comprises a second useful part 8 in the form of a cutting blade, with a cutting edge 9, the second cutting blade 8 extending, beyond the common intermediate axis 3, by a second branch 10 provided with a second receiving member 11 also suitable for operation by the end of a user's finger
In the embodiments shown, the first receiving member 7 comprises a ring 12 located in a plane substantially parallel to the mean longitudinal axis II-II of the first branch 6. The ring 12 is slightly offset, in the plane defined by the blades 4 and 8, outwardly opposite the second branch 10.
One can provide a tip 13 engaged in the ring 12. The tip 13 then constitutes a generally cylindrical receiving member in which the ring finger of a hand of the user can engage The tip 13 of the first receiving member such that represented consists of a generally hollow cylindrical sleeve 14 open at its two ends, provided with an external end flange 15. The external peripheral face 16 of the sleeve 14 has an external diameter adapted to be introduced axially by force into the central opening of the ring 12 until the flange 15 bears against the ring 12. The inner face 17 of the sleeve, generally cylindrical or slightly conical, has a diameter suitable for receiving the end axially with little play of the user's ring finger.
The length of the endpiece 13 is preferably such that the length of the transverse tubular passage 18 of the first receiving member 7 is between 10 and 30 millimeters approximately. Good results are obtained with a length of about 17 millimeters. This achieves a good compromise between sufficient retention of the finger in the receptor organ and sufficient freedom of the finger allowing the flexing of its joints.
L'angle A est avantageusement compris entreThe axis III-III of the central bore or transverse tubular passage 18 of the end piece 13 is advantageously pivoted by an angle A relative to the perpendicular to the mean longitudinal axis II-II to the first articulated element 1, in the plane containing the longitudinal axis II-II and the intermediate common axis 3. The angle A is advantageously between
10 et 20 degrés environ, dans le sens représenté sur les figures, sens dans lequel l'ouverture munie de la collerette 15 est plus éloignée des lames 4 et 8 que l'ouverture opposée à la collerette 15 L'angle A approprié est obtenu lorsque l'embout 13 est positionné dans l'anneau 12 selon une orientation axiale privilégiée, cette orientation pouvant être matérialisée par des repères respectifs ou tout autre moyen tel que des parties engageantes L'anneau 12 du premier élément articulé 1 est monté pivotant autour d'un axe longitudinal de pivotement 19 du premier élément articulé10 and 20 degrees approximately, in the direction shown in the figures, direction in which the opening provided with the flange 15 is further from the blades 4 and 8 than the opening opposite the flange 15 The appropriate angle A is obtained when the end piece 13 is positioned in the ring 12 according to a preferred axial orientation, this orientation being able to be materialized by respective marks or any other means such as engaging parts The ring 12 of the first articulated element 1 is pivotally mounted around a longitudinal pivot axis 19 of the first articulated element
1, de façon à pouvoir orienter l'anneau 12 autour dudit axe longitudinal de pivotement 19. Pour cela, l'anneau 12 du premier organe récepteur 7 est relié à la première branche correspondante 6 par une articulation 30 à axe longitudinal de pivotement 19. 1 , so as to be able to orient the ring 12 around said longitudinal axis for pivoting 19. For this, the ring 12 of the first receiving member 7 is connected to the first corresponding branch 6 by an articulation 30 with a longitudinal pivot axis 19.
According to the invention, stops limit the pivoting of the ring 12 of the first receiving member 7 around the longitudinal pivot axis 19 between a first extreme position, shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, in which the ring 12 is substantially in the plane perpendicular to the intermediate common axis 3, and a second extreme position in which the ring 12 is pivoted away from the first position in the direction of rotation such as the face 31 by which the finger s' engaged in the ring 12 is oriented towards the outside, away from the second articulated element 2. Elastic return means 20 rotate the ring 12 around the longitudinal pivot axis 19 to bring it back in first position. FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate an advantageous embodiment of the articulation 30. In this embodiment, the ring 12 is integral with an axial handle 32 pivotally engaged in a corresponding axial bore 33 of the first branch 6 of maneuver. The axial handle 32 has a radial protrusion 34 engaged in a sectoral housing 35 of the axial bore 33 whose end faces 36 and 37 (Figure 6) form abutments against which selectively bears the radial protrusion 34 of the axial handle 32 in the respective extreme positions of the ring 12 of the first receiving member 7. In FIG. 6, the axial handle 32 is shown in the first extreme position, corresponding to the position illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2. In this first extreme position , the radial projection 34 is in abutment against the first end face 36 of the sectoral housing 35. From this position, the axial handle 32, and the ring 12 which is integral with it, can pivot around the axis longitudinal pivot 19 in the direction of arrow 38, to the second extreme position in which the radial projection 34 comes to bear against the second end face 37 forming a stop.
Dans le mode de réalisation illustré sur la figure 6, l'amplitude de pivotement est d'environ 90 degrés On pourra trouver avantage à prévoir une amplitude de pivotement d'anneau 12, autour de son axe de pivotement longitudinal 19, qui soit inférieure à 90 degrés environThe amplitude of pivoting of the ring 12 is fixed by the relative positions of the end faces 36 and 37, and by the angular development of the radial protuberance 34. In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 6, the swivel amplitude is about 90 degrees It may be advantageous to provide an amplitude of ring pivot 12, about its longitudinal pivot axis 19, which is less than about 90 degrees
Dans le mode de réalisation de la figure 5, les moyens de rappel élastique comprennent un ressort hélicoïdal de torsion 20, logé dans l'alésage axial 33 en prolongement du manche axial 32, et dont les extrémités 39 et 40 sont engagées respectivement dans le manche axial 32 d'une part et dans la paroi de première branche de manoeuvre 6 d'autre partIn the embodiment of FIG. 5, the elastic return means comprise a helical torsion spring 20, housed in the axial bore 33 in extension of the axial handle 32, and the ends 39 and 40 of which are engaged respectively in the handle axial 32 on the one hand and in the wall of the first operating branch 6 on the other hand
Une bague annulaire 50 en matière élastique est engagée dans ledit espace annulaire 47 et dépasse radialement à l'extérieur dudit espace annulaire 47 pour former butée d'amortissement contre laquelle vient porter la seconde branche 11 d'outil en fin de course de pivotement des éléments articulés 1 et 2In this same embodiment of FIG. 5, the axial handle 32 of the ring 12 is retained on the first operating branch 6 by a screw 41, the rod 42 of which passes through an axial hole 43 of the handle 32 and is screwed in a insert 44 forming a threaded end of the axial bore 33 of the first branch 6, and the head 45 of which bears against a shoulder 46 of the axial hole 43 In the embodiment illustrated in this same FIG. 5, an annular space 47 is provided between an external shoulder 48 of the axial handle 32 of the ring 12 and the end edge 49 of the first operating branch 6. An annular ring 50 of elastic material is engaged in said annular space 47 and protrudes radially outside of said annular space 47 to form a damping stop against which the second tool branch 11 comes to bear at the end of the pivoting stroke of the elements. articulated 1 and 2
On peut prévoir un jeu de plusieurs embouts tels que l'emboutPreferably, the articulation 30 of the first receiving member 7 is close to the transverse tubular passage 18 or to the ring 12 The index and middle finger of the hand holding the tool can thus rest on a fixed portion of the first branch 6. The rotation of the phalanx of the ring finger engaged in the first receiving member 7 does not therefore cause the rotation of the phalanges adjacent to the index and middle fingers. Comfort and hold are improved. We can provide a set of several tips such as the tip
13, comportant chacun la même forme extérieure et notamment le même diamètre de face extérieure 16 et la même collerette 15, et comportant des diamètres de face intérieure 17 différents, pour s'adapter à des tailles différentes d'annulaires L'embout 13 est simplement engagé en force dans l'anneau 12, de sorte que l'interchangeabilité est simplifiée13, each having the same outer shape and in particular the same outer face diameter 16 and the same flange 15, and having different inner face diameters 17, to adapt to different sizes of annulars The end piece 13 is simply forcibly engaged in the ring 12, so that the interchangeability is simplified
En prévoyant un anneau 12 dont la forme est sensiblement symétrique par rapport à son plan, on peut introduire indifféremment le même embout 13 par l'une ou l'autre des deux faces de l'anneau 12, définissant respectivement un outil pour droitier et un outil pour gaucherBy providing a ring 12 whose shape is substantially symmetrical with respect to its plane, it is possible to introduce the same tip 13 by one or the other of the two faces of the ring 12, respectively defining a tool for right-handed and a tool for left-handed
The tool must thus hold sufficiently in position, held by the annular alone, without the possibility of axial translation or axial rotation of the tool. around the ring finger. For this, the sleeve 14 of the endpiece 13 must have an internal diameter sufficiently close to the external diameter of the user's ring finger, so that sufficient friction exists between
La longueur du manchon 14 est sensiblement égaie à son diamètre.1 annular and the sleeve 14 It should not however that 1 annular is tightened too violently in the sleeve 14, to avoid discomfort related to perspiration and cut blood circulation. The sleeve 14 can advantageously be made of a slightly elastic material, promoting adhesion between the sleeve 14 and the ring finger without requiring excessive tightening. The length of the sleeve 14 is substantially equal to its diameter.
La surface intérieure du manchon 14 peut avantageusement comporter des irrégularités telles que nervures et rainures, alvéoles, bossages, favorisant l'aération de la peau au contact dudit manchonThe inner surface of the sleeve 14 can advantageously include irregularities such as ribs and grooves, cells, bosses, favoring the ventilation of the skin in contact with said sleeve
La structure d'appui forme avantageusement un arc de cercle d'environ 90 degrés, et la face d'appui 124 postérieure présente un profil transversal convexeIn the embodiment shown, the first branch 6 of the first element 1 is extended, beyond the ring 12, opposite the intermediate common axis 3, by an extension 21 provided with a face of support 22 close to the longitudinal axis II-II of the first branch. The support face 22 is intended to be oriented, by pivoting of the ring 12 around its longitudinal pivot axis 19, opposite the second branch 10 of the second articulated element 2. The support face 22 allows the user to let rest against said face 22, his little finger adjacent to the ring finger inserted in the end piece 13 The second receiving member 11, mounted on the second articulated element 2, comprises a longitudinal end portion 23 seconds branch 10, and a transverse support structure 24 developing substantially in the pivoting plane of the articulated elements 1 and 2 opposite the first articulated element 1, as shown in Figure 1 Thus, the second receiving member 11 is fixed and open. The support structure 24 comprises a generally concave support face 124 oriented towards the free end 26 of the second branch 10 The support structure 24 shown in Figure 1 is a rod, one end 25 of which is integral with the second branch 10 of the second articulated element 2, the said rod being curved in an arc according to a concavity turned towards the free end 26 of the second branch 10, and along a radius greater than the average radius of one inch of the user. The support structure advantageously forms an arc of a circle of about 90 degrees, and the posterior support face 124 has a convex transverse profile.
De préférence, la partie longitudinale d'extrémité 23 comporte une face d'appui 52 concaveThe support structure 24 shown in FIG. 3 is a transverse rod, the first end 25 of which is integral with the second branch 10 of the second articulated element 2, and ending in a ball 51 fixed or rotary. Preferably, the longitudinal end portion 23 has a concave bearing face 52
La structure d'appui 24 représentée sur la figure 4 est une tige transversale incurvée en arc, dont la face d'appui 124 postérieure présente un profil transversal convexe et un profil longitudinal à concavité régulière tournée vers l'extrémité libre 26 de seconde brancheThe support structure 24 shown in FIG. 4 is an arcuate curved transverse rod, the posterior support face 124 of which has a convex transverse profile and a longitudinal profile with regular concavity facing the free end 26 of the second branch.
The longitudinal end portion 23 of the second branch 10 has a length substantially equal to the average diameter of a user inch, to constitute a support zone of sufficient length for the support of the thumb This longitudinal end portion 23 second branch 10 ends with a free end 26 at an angle, set back from the ring 12 when the tool is closed, as shown in dashed lines in Figure 1 A second branch 10 short and light, made of plastic, favors the automatic return of the tool to the closed position, by the effect of gravity
The distance separating the support structure 24 from the intermediate common axis 3 is less than the distance separating the ring 12 from the same intermediate common axis 3 Thus, the user can hold the tool by engaging the end of his ring finger in the end-piece 13 of the ring 12 and by engaging the end of his thumb in abutment both on the external face of the longitudinal end portion 23 of the second branch 10 and on the concave face of the support structure 24 closest to the free end 26 of second branch 10 In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, the useful parts 4 and 8 are scissor blades, with a cutting metal part. The first cutting metal part 104 is secured to the inner face of a portion 106 of the first operating branch 6 of molded plastic material. On the other hand, the second cutting metal part 108 is devoid of plastic part, in order to have a reduced thickness such that as illustrated in Figure 2.
En effet, avec une paire de pinces, on peut tout aussi bien utiliser les possibilités d'orientation et de manoeuvre de l'outilAlthough the above description relates to an embodiment representing a pair of scissors, the invention also applies to a hand tool in which the blades 4 and 8 are replaced by pliers. Indeed, with a pair of pliers, one can just as easily use the possibilities of orientation and operation of the tool
The present invention is not limited to the embodiments which have been explicitly described, but it includes the various variants and generalizations thereof contained in the field of claims below.
