Definitions
- the invention relates to medicine, in particular to dermatology and oncology, and is intended to inhibit the growth of congenital and acquired pigmented skin nevi and prevent the formation of new nevi.
- One option is a method for the surgical treatment of skin diseases (RF patent No. 2044552, class C. No. 61/06, 1995), in which the effect of CCB- is used to treat, in particular, moles (i.e., pigmented nevi) laser in modes sufficient for ablation.
- RF patent No. 2044552, class C. No. 61/06, 1995 in which the effect of CCB- is used to treat, in particular, moles (i.e., pigmented nevi) laser in modes sufficient for ablation.
- the purpose of the invention is to provide an effective method of inhibiting the growth of congenital and acquired skin nevi and preventing the occurrence of new acquired nevi.
- This goal is achieved by the fact that the patient’s retina is exposed to a luminous flux passing through a microscopic section of the tissue of the pigment nevus with the presence of melanocytes in it.
- the method is based on the phenomenon of transmitting information about the state of cells through the structure of the visual analyzer, which is as follows.
- Luminous flux from an artificial light source passing through a layer of cells at a certain stage of destruction and reaching the retina of the eye is capable of causing similar changes in cells of the same type in the organs of the whole organism (RF patent No. 2049998, class C. No. 01, 33/48, 1995).
- BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The method is carried out using the device shown in FIG. 1.
- the device comprises a housing 1, in which a light source 2 is placed — an incandescent lamp with a power of 40 watts. In front of the light source is placed a focusing lens 3, a green filter 4 and glass 5 with a cut of nevus tissue glued on it. On the line of the optical system in the wall of the housing has a hole 6.
- the method is as follows.
- the patient is located at a certain distance from the device (0.5 - 1.5 m), the hole 6 in the wall of which is at the level of his eyes.
- the incandescent lamp in the housing 1 of the device the light passes through the lens 3, the green filter 4, the glass with a microscopic section of tissue 5 glued on it and through the hole 6 it enters the patient’s retina.
- the slice is made from fixed for one day in a 10% formalin solution and histologically paraffin-guided biopsy of the pigmented nevus.
- the thickness of the slice is 10-20 microns, it is glued to a glass slide, consists of a balm and covered with a coverslip.
- the presence of a green filter in the device is optional. It is used to ensure the convenience of the patient. In its absence, the effect of suppressing the growth of nevus is observed in full.
- the exposure time is 10 minutes, for a course of 12-15 procedures daily or every other day.
- EXAMPLE 1 Patient M., 38 years old, complained of the presence and increase in the size of a pigmented formation on the right lower leg. From the anamnesis it was found that the pigmented nevus appeared about 5 years ago, over the past few months its slow growth has been noted. Over the past few years, there has been a tendency towards the appearance of acquired nevi. On examination: on the front surface of the right tibia in its middle third, a rounded formation with a diameter of up to 1 cm, a height of 0.4 cm, brown in color, with a smooth surface, and on the periphery - hyperemia of the skin. On the skin of the patient in various areas, multiple pigmented nevi from 0.1 to 0.5 cm in diameter.
- the patient’s retina was exposed to the light stream using the device described above for 10 minutes. daily, for a course of 15 procedures. After a full course of hyperemia along the periphery of the nevus was not observed, observation over the next two years showed that the growth of the pigmented nevus stopped and did not resume. Observation also confirmed the absence of the appearance of new pigmented nevi.
- EXAMPLE 2 Patient L., 48 years old, complained of the growth of pigmentation on the skin of the face. From the anamnesis it was found that the pigmented nevus is congenital, its slow growth was noted over the past 3-5 months. On examination: in the left infraorbital region, a pigmented formation of round shape up to 0.8 cm in diameter, up to 0.4 cm high, dark brown in color, with a fine tuberous surface.
- the patient’s retina was exposed to the light flux using the device described above for 10 minutes every other day, for a course of 12 procedures. After the course, there was a slight decrease in the size of the pigmented nevus (up to 0.6 cm in diameter).
- the growth of congenital and acquired nevuses was suppressed in a group of patients.
- an additional similar course was required 2-3 months after the end of the main course. Further observation over 2 years showed a lack of growth of acquired and congenital nevus, as well as the elimination of the tendency to the occurrence of acquired nevi.
- the practical significance of the invention is to enable effective inhibition of the growth of pigmented nevi, as well as preventing the occurrence of acquired nevi, which reduces the need for surgical treatment and can indirectly contribute to the prevention of melanoblast.
