Cette difficulté est encore augmentée dans le cas de la réalisation de compte-gouttes à pipette. Dans ce cas, une fois que la tétine et la bague sont assemblées, il faut introduire la pipette dans la tétine et la presser jusqu'à ce que le rebord annulaire de la pipette vienne se loger dans une rainure prévue à l'intérieure de la tétine. Il est fréquent que la force exercée sur la pipette soit excessive, et entraine le désassemblage de la tétine et de la bague. Ce problème est très important, et a conduit il y près de vingt ans un fabricant à tenter de le résoudre par un capuchon monomatière. Ce dispositif est décrit dans le brevet français FR2319538. Le bouchon est formé par moulage d'une matière unique élastique. Ce dispositif n'est pas totalement satisfaisant. Il conduit en effet à l'utilisation d'un matériau qui n'est pas adapté à la fonction de vissage sur le col du récipient. Il impose un mauvais compromis entre l'élasticité recherchée pour la partie saillante, et la rigidité recherchée pour la bague. Les caractéristiques des deux parties du bouchon sont en effet contradictoires. On recherche une grande rigidité de la partie vissante, pour permettre un vissage énergique du bouchon sur le flacon. L'emploi d'un matériau souple n'est donc pas adapté car il a tendance à ne pas résister aux contraintes mécaniques s'exerçant au niveau des filetages. Par contre, on recherche pour la partie saillante un matériau souple et ferme, présentant une tenue et une texture agréable et une élasticité importante, permettant le retour à la forme initiale après des manipulations.
