User would normally place it on the end portion 8 which is opposite the cap 6 on a flat surface such that the roller is in a vertical or quasi-vertical position. When the roller is in such a position, the most of the paint will be retained within the wall 4.

Abstract

Rouleau de peinture équipé d'un réservoir interne (5) ménagé dans le volume intérieur du rouleau et destiné à recevoir et à distribuer la peinture. L'intérieur du rouleau est mis en communication avec la surface externe de celui-ci par plusieurs fentes (3) ménagées dans le rouleau. Un applicateur est posé sur la surface externe du rouleau. La peinture contenue dans le réservoir interne est distribuée de manière homogène et automatique au travers des fentes (3) et des applicateurs, et répartie sur la surface cible. Le réservoir interne du rouleau comporte une cloison (4) pour le stockage de la peinture résiduelle lorsque le rouleau est tenu en position verticale ou quasi verticale. Le centre de gravité du réservoir étant très près de l'axe longitudinal du rouleau, la maniabilité est optimisée et l'utilisateur peut enduire la surface cible de peinture en ayant l'impression d'utiliser un rouleau de peinture traditionnel.
