Abstract
Cette invention concerne un dispositif simplifié permettant d'améliorer les conditions de dissolution d'alumine dans un électrolyte, lequel dispositif comprend une plaque chauffante de couverture du bain électrolytique comportant une trémie de stockage et, située sous la trémie, une fente de dosage d'une largeur variant entre 0,5 et 1,5 mm. Ce dispositif comprend également un système de réglage de la largeur de la fente (10) et du débit de l'alumine, lequel système se présente sous la forme d'une rampe qui est située sur la surface interne inclinée de la trémie de stockage, et peut se déplacer et se fixer sur cette dernière. La plaque de couverture se compose de sections d'alimentation et de non alimentation disposées sur le périmètre des anodes, et pouvant être retirées lorsque le bain doit être ouvert. La longueur totale de la fente d'alimentation du dispositif est fonction de la valeur du courant appliqué aux bains électrolytiques. Les sections d'alimentation du dispositif peuvent également être chauffées par une couche d'alumine. Les plaques peuvent reposer sur le boîtier de la cathode et être suspendues à la structure du cadre de l'anode ou de la chemise de l'anode, ou peuvent encore être placées au-dessus, sur les anodes des bains électrolytiques à anodes calcinées.
