Abstract

A parking device for light cycles, particularly bicycles, is disclosed. To protect such vehicles from theft, tampering and the weather, the device enables a cycle to be lifted up and held in the raised position in a protective parking space (2) enabling pedestrians to move about freely and safely at ground level, then lowered again when required by its owner. The device consists of a vertical member (1) containing a driving and guiding mechanism, a cycle protecting member located in the upper portion of the vertical member (1), a carriage (3) operated by the driving mechanism and guided by said vertical member (1), and a member arranged outside the vertical member and secured to said carriage (3) for supporting one wheel of the cycle by means of a frame mounting member (mounting bar) (4). Said device is mainly for use as a modular construction on a façade or as a circular construction forming street furniture.

On connaît les parkings classiques formés d'arceaux métalliques entre lesquels on vient placer une roue des cycles. Certains systèmes de parcage permettent de suspendre par un crochet les cycles en position verticale par l'une de leur roue. D'autres modes de parcages maintiennent le cadre du cycle. Ces dispositifs accaparent une surface importante au sol et ne permettent pas de protéger suffisamment les cycles contre le vol, les dégradations et la malveillance.We know the classic car parks formed by metal arches between which we place a wheel of cycles. Elle permet le parcage sous un abπ protecteur, hors de portée des passants. Ce dispositif dont la conception permet une installation modulaire peut être monté en façade d'immeuble. Il peut comporter des accessoires qui en agrémentent l'utilisation et l'incoφoration architecturale: pour exemple non limitatif: éclairage, support de végétation, panneaux de publicité. Le dispositif de parcage selon l'invention est constitué d'un élément vertical de plusieurs mètres de haut et dans sa partie supérieure d'un espace de protection du cycle. L'élément est conçu de telle façon qu'il permet le guidage de roulement d'un chaπol entraîné par un mécanisme d'entraînement. Une ouverture longitudinale de l'élément permet au chanot roulant d'être solidansé à un élément de maintien du cycle appelé arceau de fixation placé à l'extérieur. L'arceau de fixation est conçu de telle façon qu'il permet la fixation et le maintien de la jante d'un cycle quel que soit son diamètre. L'arceau de fixation supporte aussi un axe extensible monté sur articulation permettant d'assurer un maintien du cadre du cycle éventuellement assorti d'un système antivol. On conçoit que le principe d'élever le véhicule pour l'amener en position de garage libère complètement l'espace de passage au sol. Selon une caractéristique de l'invention, le mécanisme de levée maintient en position haute le chariot et l'arceau de fixation. La descente du chariot est actionnée par l'introduction d'une clef ou d'un code électronique connu du seul utilisateur. Il garantit la sécurité du passant et empêche toute personne autre que le propriétaire d'atteindre le cycle ainsi garé. Selon une caractéristique de l'invention plusieurs modules de parcage peuvent être combinés pour permettre le garage d'autant de cycles.
