Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de freinage pour des patins à roulettes. Le système de freinage est monté à l'arrière du patin et il est actionné par le mouvement d'une pièce couvrant la cheville. Contrairement aux systèmes antérieurs, dans lesquels une plaquette de freinage s'engageant avec le sol est montée en pivotement sur le corps du patin, la plaquette de freinage de l'invention est conçue pour effectuer un mouvement coulissant dans l'extension à l'arrière de ce corps. Quand la pièce du patin couvrant la cheville effectue une rotation vers l'arrière, la plaquette de freinage effectue un mouvement de translation dans l'extension du corps pour entrer en contact avec la surface du sol. L'invention concerne également une plaquette de freinage améliorée destinée à un patin à roulettes.
