Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de gymnastique cérébrale permettant de lutter contre le manque de mémoire, même à son premier stade, chez l'homme, en cas de 'démence présénile', ou d'affaiblissement des facultés intellectuelles dû à la vieillesse, ou même pour lutter contre la démence dûe à une détérioration du tissu cérébral. Selon l'invention, il est possible d'entraîner l'activité cérébrale au moyen d'odeurs spéciales que l'on fait varier, en réveillant des souvenirs relatifs à une expérience particulière de référence. A cet effet, est également décrit un dispositif au moyen duquel des odeurs non mélangées peuvent être émises, avec des changements d'odeur relativement rapides, dans une pièce, et comprenant un conduit à air (11, 12, 13), un ventilateur (2), un filtre à air (3) et une pluralité de récipients (4) séparés contenant chacun une substance dégageant un arôme ou une odeur. Les molécules d'une des substances odorantes peuvent être mélangées à l'air s'écoulant à travers le conduit (12) en un temps relativement court et être évacuées avec celui-ci, les odeurs pouvant être changées rapidement.
