Abstract
L'invention porte sur un élément électrochimique comportant: une électrode (12, 20), une membrane (18) en contact avec l'un des côtés de l'électrode et un bus de courant (46, 48) disposé de l'autre côté de l'électrode et lui amenant le courant et un élément gonflable (54, 56) placé entre l'électrode et le bus. L'élément gonflable assure une pression de contact uniforme et donc un contact électrique uniforme entre le bus et l'électrode. L'élément objet de l'invention s'avère donc particulièrement utile pour la conversion directe d'un halogénure anhydre d'hydrogène en halogène gazeux essentiellement sec, par exemple du chlorure anhydre d'hydrogène en gaz de chlore ou pour la conversion d'un halogénure d'hydrogène aqueux, par exemple du chlorure d'hydrogène aqueux, en gaz de chlore humide.
