Abstract

A large number of urinals are known in the medical field, which are characterized by small dimensions, some of which are also provided with drains and flushing devices, but due to their small, if appropriate, also adjacent urine inlet openings, according to their conception, are to be used exclusively for personal use.

However, the known urinals, and in particular wall urinals, have significant disadvantages:

The common disadvantage of the wall urinals lies in the fact that splashes and spray mist that cannot be avoided spread freely due to the spacious input opening. Contamination, especially clothing, can hardly be prevented in the vicinity of such devices. This effect is particularly pronounced when a wall-mounted urinal installed at a normal height is used by tall men, since either the distance between the delivery point and the impact surface becomes larger or the splashes that fall back on the impact surface are directed in all directions can freely spread out of the plane of the impact surface. Due to the relatively large dimensions, these urinals require large amounts of flushing water. In addition, the large dimensions do not permit an often desired installation in small rooms, in particular bathrooms and guest toilets. The urinals known in the medical field are indeed suitable to at least partially address the above-mentioned weak points. to counteract this, but is unsuitable for a changing group of users, in particular for hygienic reasons.

The urinal body 1 of the urinal according to the invention shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 consists of a collecting bowl 2 arranged below, here provided with an integrated drain 4 opening into a siphon 3, which is extended upwards by a tubular wall 5 and merges into a head part 6 at the top. The tubular wall 5 is broken through on the side facing away from the wall 7 by a vertically arranged longitudinal slot 8, which serves as a urine inlet. In the head part 6, a flushing device 9 is arranged in known construction, consisting of a flushing water inlet 10, a distribution chamber 11 and outlet openings 12. In addition, the pivotable holder 23 has a joint 27 below the urinal body 1, which makes it possible to incline the urinal at an angle up to 30 ° to the wall 7 and to fix it, for example, by means of a clamping screw 28 arranged in the pivot point. The flushing device of this urinal is connected via a flexible supply hose 29 to the water connection provided by the customer or, alternatively to the shut-off valve 25, to a flush valve to be mounted on the wall 7. The urinal shown in FIG. 5 is constructed like the urinal described in FIGS. 1 to 3, the components collecting pan 2, tubular wall 5 and head part 6 merging into one another.
