Abstract

A nose wheel with a recyclable tyre, in particular for communal dustbins. The wheel comprises a hub (4) with a rigid tubular sleeve (20) extending therefrom on one side of the wheel for receiving the supporting shaft (7) of a container, a peripheral rim (1) for engaging a tyre, a radial disc connecting the rim (1) to the hub (4), and a locking device engaging a groove (6) in the supporting shaft (7). All the components of the wheel, including the tyre and the locking device, are made by compression moulding a recyclable plastic material and, except for the tyre, they are moulded as a single ready-to-use component. The locking device comprises at least one tab (5) with a locking projection extending within the hub (4). The connecting disc comprises two flanges (2, 3) joined together by radial spacers between the hub (4) and the tyre.
