Abstract

Procédé de préacquisition de données à l'aide de liste de filières, et système d'édition multimédia ou vidéo utilisant ledit procédé. Une liste des données requises par une application de l'hôte est transférée dans un dispositif de stockage de données par exemple un disque dur (120), une unité de CD ROM ou d'autres supports de mémoire qui localisent les données et les stockent dans leur propre tampon (124). La liste de filières peut comporter une filière vidéo et une filière audio ainsi que des paramètres d'accès aux données reflétant les besoins en données des applications de l'hôte. Les paramètres d'accès aux données peuvent comporter au moins une priorité de données, une gestion des caches, un traitement d'erreurs à capacité de renvoi et un taux d'introduction de données. La liste de filières peut également comporter des données spécifiant les pourcentages du tampon de l'unité de mémoire (124) à réserver aux données à lecture anticipée et aux données ayant été préalablement fournies à l'ordinateur hôte (100).
