Abstract

La présente invention concerne un élément de profil creux (10) présentant des rebords en porte à faux (11, 12) disposés sur les flancs opposés du profil creux. Le socle porte-charge est conçu pour que sa taille soit équivalente à celle d'une palette standard. Les articles peuvent être empilés dans le creux (10) du socle porte-charge sur la partie de fond reposant à même le sol. Par la suite d'autres rangées d'articles peuvent être empilées sur la couche de base des articles de façon que les articles absorbent une grande proportion de la charge provenant des articles empilés, ce qui fait que les forces s'exerçant vers le bas sur les rebords en porte à faux (11, 12) ne sont pas excessives. Une fois que la charge a été normalement empilée jusqu'à hauteur standard, le chargement peut être enveloppé d'un film plastique pour préserver l'intégrité des articles empilés. La face de fond en creux (10) du socle porte-charge peut être configurée de façon à épouser de près le profil de n'importe quel article susceptible d'y être empilé, tel que notamment des articles cylindriques ou des boîtes rectangulaires.
