Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé servant à éliminer les contaminants organiques contenus dans un gaz industriel, en recueillant ce gaz industriel, en injectant un liquide d'absorption dans ce gaz industriel, afin de former un mélange à deux états constitué du liquide d'absorption et du gaz industriel, en faisant passer ce mélange à travers un module d'échange de chaleur pour obtenir l'absorption des contaminants organiques, et en séparant ce liquide d'absorption du gaz industriel ainsi nettoyé. L'échangeur de chaleur (10) comprend un premier groupe d'au moins un module d'échange thermique à ailettes en forme de plaques (34a) et un second groupe d'au moins un module d'échange thermique à ailettes en forme de plaques (34b), chacun de ces modules (34) comprenant une entrée (72), une sortie (74) et plusieurs plaques espacées (60) servant à faire passer le fluide réfrigérant dans une direction transversale par rapport au fluide industriel. Ces modules (34) sont alignés en alternance avec le fluide réfrigérant s'écoulant dans des directions opposées à travers les modules des premier et second groupes, assurant ainsi un transfert thermique sensiblement uniforme à travers des paires adjacentes de ces modules.
