Abstract

The method of oblong processing of wooden materials is based on the fact that the required number of incisions of required depth is made along the full length of the wooden material, oblongly toward the wooden material at once, and simultaneously this incised layer is cut in the horizontal direction. The equipment consists of four supports placed in a steel frame wherein on the first pair of supports the horizontal saw discs (3) are placed and connected with the driver (1) through the matrix (2). On the second pair of supports the vertical saw discs (5) with determining ringlets (6) are placed and connected with the driver (4). The saw discs (3, 5) are both vertically and horizontally adjustable toward each other and, at the same time, the whole system of saw discs (3, 5) is simultaneously vertically adjustable.

Description

A Method of Oblong Processing of Wooden Materials and the Equipment for Executing this Method
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention
The presented invention relates to a method of oblong processing of wooden materials which is independent of the material's diameter and length, and the equipment for executing this method.
Brief Description of the Related Art
The equipment for oblong separation of trunks of wooden material by cutting with two disc saws is known. The saws are arranged above each other in a common cut plane. This allows the cutting of large-diameter trunks, but only in one plane. The equipment for oblong separation of half-trunks of wooden mateπal by separation in several planes with a system of disc saws is also known. However, this equipment lacks the ability to set the thickness of an offcut and the possibility to produce, for example, prisms with adjustable dimensions. Equipment is also known for the separation of wooden material with saw discs arranged in the horizontal and vertical plane which allows sawing in both planes; this equipment however, does not fulfil the criteria of maximum universality and is only able to process limited widths of products of up to 20 cm.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The drawbacks mentioned above are removed and the set task is solved by a method of oblong processing of the wooden material and the equipment for executing this method according to the presented invention. It is based on the principle that the required number of cuts of a required depth along the full length of the wooden material is realized oblongly toward the wooden material, from above at once and simultaneously this incised layer is cut in the horizontal direction. After cutting off the set thickness in one plane, another layer is set and the procedure is repeated.
The equipment for executing this method according to the presented invention consists of a steel frame in which a carrier of supports is placed which moves in the vertical direction. Four supports are installed on the carrier in the following way: the axles of the vertical saw discs are placed on two supports on the right side of the carrier and the supports for the axles of the horizontal discs are placed on the left side. The horizontal discs are riveted to special matrixes, which are fixed on the axles of drivers. The procedure according to the suggested technical solution allows the achievement of high precision cutting, ideal processing of products, variability and high productivity of work.
The method of fixing the horizontal saw discs is very rational and allows quick assembly and disassembly.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The enclosed Fig. 1 shows schematically the positioning of the saw discs toward the wooden material and making individual incisions into the wooden mateπal. Fig. 2 is a detailed side elevation showing the attachment of the hoπzontal saw discs to the special matrix and the axle of the driver.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
The equipment according to the present invention comprises of a circular saw which consists of four supports placed in a steel frame. As shown in Fig. 1, on the first pair of supports the horizontal saw discs 3 are placed which are connected with drivers 1 by axles 8 through special matrixes 2. On the second pair of supports the vertical saw discs 5 are placed and connected with the drivers 4. The saw discs 5 are adjusted to the required width through determining ringlets £. The horizontal saw discs 3 are moved toward each other so that they do not meet when cutting the wooden material 7. Fig. 2 shows the attachment of the horizontal saw discs 2 to the special matrix 2 through the rivet 9. The matrix 2 is further connected with the driver 1 by axle 8.
Operating the equipment and executing the method according to the presented invention is obvious from Fig. 1, where the wooden material being processed and making incisions into it are shown.
The first incision into the wooden material 7 being processed is made by the horizontal saw discs 3 simultaneously. Thus, the upper layer of the wooden material is cut off along its full length. Thus prepared mass is cut, as necessary, by the horizontal saw discs 3 and the vertical saw discs 5 simultaneously. In cases where a large-dimensional wooden material is cut and the horizontal saw discs 3 are not able to cut the whole layer off at once, the saw discs 2 and 5 are used simultaneously to cut from both sides of the wooden material 7 which enables the motion of the supports in the transverse direction. After one layer of the mass is cut off, the carrier of supports is moved downwards to the required dimension and the complete procedure is repeated.
Attaching the horizontal saw discs 2 to the special matrix 2 by the rivet 9 allows movement of these discs along the full width of the mass 7 being sawed and the discs 2 of small diameters are able to cut wooden materials 7 of large thickness.
The supports of the horizontal discs 2 are adjustable towards the vertical discs 5 in the height direction for cases where vertical discs 5 with a different diameter are used, so that a plane of cuts in both the vertical and horizontal position is achieved. Revolutions of the horizontal discs 2 are selected in this way so the discs cut from the inner side of the wooden material 7. Thus, their lifetime is prolonged. From the reason above, one matrix 2 is made with a right-hand thread and the other with a left-hand thread to prevent their releasing. The horizontal disc 2 is inserted on the matrix 2 through the disc's central slot and connected to the matrix by the rivet 9 along the matrix's circumference. Industrial exploitation
The method of oblong processing of the wooden material by cutting in two planes and the equipment for performing this method is exploitable mostly in the wood industry, in civil engineering and also in other branches for technically equivalent operations of processing of wooden material.

Claims

1 The method of oblong processing of wooden material of unlimited diameter and length by cutting in two planes characterized by the fact that the required number of incisions of required depth along the full length of the wooden material is made oblongly toward the wooden mateπal from above and at once and simultaneously this incised layer is cut in the hoπzontal direction and the procedure is repeated with another laver of the wooden material.
2 The equipment for executing the method as claimed claim 1, characterized by the fact that it comprises of four supports placed in a steel frame, wherein on the first pair of supports the horizontal saw discs (3) are placed and connected to the dπvers (1) by axles (8) through special matπxes (2) and on the second pair of supports the vertical saw discs (5) with determining ringlets (6) are placed and connected with the dπvers (4) and, furthermore, the horizontal saw discs (3) and vertical saw discs (5) are adjustable toward each other in both the horizontal and vertical planes and, simultaneously, the whole system of all saw discs (3.5) is adjustable at once in the vertical plane
