Abstract

La présente invention concerne un joint d'étanchéité auto-obturant amélioré maintenant l'hémostase tout en réduisant la force requise pour déplacer un cathéter ou un fil-guide placé dans ledit joint. Des fentes pratiquées sur l'une des faces du joint étanche se rejoignent au niveau d'un orifice central ménagé sur la surface opposée du joint d'étanchéité. La retenue du joint dans l'embout d'introduction du cathéter est facilitée par un anneau circulaire réalisé sur le joint étanche. Un épaulement annulaire peut être prévu sur la face distale du joint d'étanchéité permet d'empêcher son dégagement en cas d'introduction désaxée d'un instrument dans l'embout.
