Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'élimination d'un agent de stérilisation usé, et de mélange d'air ambiant, s'utilisant dans un système de stérilisation d'instruments médicaux où de l'ozone humififié O3 est, de préférence, employé comme agent de stérilisation ou effluent de stérilisation. Le dispositif de la présente invention est conçu pour recevoir un écoulement d'agent de stérilisation usé comprenant de l'ozone humidifié O3 et de l'oxygène O2 humififiés, cet agent de stérilisation usé étant exposé à un convertisseur catalytique et à une source de chaleur qui transforme l'ozone O3 en oxygène O2, ce qui rend l'agent de stérilisation inerte, et permet de mélanger l'écoulement inerte à l'air ambiant et de l'évacuer dans l'atmosphère.
