Abstract

The invention concerns a packaging container for a product consisting of several individually packaged components, at least some of which are liquid, which are mixed together before use, the container being made by folding a carboard blank. The aim of the invention is to provide a container which enables the transport and mixing of such components to be carried out easily and with due consideration to the environment. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the container is designed as a mixing vessel with moisture-tight walls (3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

Description

"Packaging for a mixable product"

The invention relates to a packaging for a product which can be mixed together before use from several, individually packaged, at least partially liquid individual products, from a folded blank made of cardboard.

There are various products that are mixed together from individual components before they are used. For example, there is hair dye or hair color e.g. of liquid H2O2 and a bag of coloring powder, the liquid and the hair coloring powder being mixed shortly before use and mixed to a doughy mass, whereupon the doughy mass is applied to the hair to be colored with the aid of a brush or the like.

It is currently customary to offer the two components separately from one another and packed in a common cardboard box, with a bottle of liquid (H2O2) and a bag of coloring powder in the box. After opening the packaging, the user removes the vial and the bag and mixes them together in a suitable container, which is preferably provided as an additional plastic mixing tray or the like added to the packaging. can be seen. This is evidently disadvantageous, since either the user himself must have a suitable mixing container ready or an additional mixing container must be added to the packaging, which is both complex and cost-intensive and, from the point of view of avoiding waste, not very environmentally friendly.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a solution with which the transport and mixing of such individual components can be carried out in a manner which is easy to handle and environmentally friendly.

This object is achieved according to the invention with a packaging of the type described in the introduction in that the packaging is designed as a mixing trough with a moisture-proof inner wall.

As a result of this configuration, the packaging according to the invention fulfills a double function, namely that of a transport container and that of a mixing container, so that no additional mixing containers, added to the packaging or not, are required. The user only has to open the packaging and can then mix and use the individually packaged product components in the packaging which then serves as a mixing tub. Creation of the moisture-proof inner wall is only slightly more complex than with a known cardboard packaging without moisture protection, since only an appropriate coating has to be applied, and there is no additional waste due to an additional mixing container.

It is particularly advantageously provided that the areas of the folded blank forming the moisture-proof inner wall are provided with an impregnation, a lacquer layer or a laminated plastic coating.

If a lacquer layer is used as moisture protection, it is particularly advantageous if this lacquer layer is printed onto the inner wall, i.e. is applied to one side of the folded blank.

If a folding blank is used which has areas to be joined in the bottom or side area, for example in the case of cuboid packaging, it is provided that the areas of the folding blank to be joined are glued in a moisture-proof manner.

A very particularly preferred and advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the Packaging is cuboidal and consists of a folding blank which has a bottom wall to which four side walls are articulated, adjacent ends of the side walls being connected to foldable flaps articulated thereon, each flap having an approximately diagonally running middle folding line having. This configuration offers the essential advantage that no adhesive bonds are required in the bottom and side wall areas of the packaging, rather tight corner areas are formed by foldable flaps which are only glued for fixing without these adhesive bonds themselves then being moisture-tight ought to.

According to a first variant of this embodiment, it is provided that the respective flap is articulated on both sides over the entire height on the respective side wall, in which case the two areas of the outside of the flap separated by the middle fold line are expediently glued is.

In order to keep the area to be glued as small as possible, it can alternatively also be advantageously provided that the respective flap on one side approximately over the entire height of the associated side wall and on its other side only over part of the total height of the associated side wall th other side wall is hinged, the tab over the middle fold line is extended in the area having one side. If the respective flap is then folded in along the middle fold line, the extended flap area lies against the assigned side wall and then only needs to be glued to this area in order to obtain stable packaging.

The stability of the packaging and its visual appearance can be further improved by the fact that the broad side walls are each articulated on the bottom wall via two fold lines which run concavely to one another.

In order to facilitate handling of the packaging when it is opened, it is advantageously provided that a ceiling wall that can be torn off along perforation lines or the like is provided.

A packaging, generally designated 1, for a product which can be mixed together from a plurality of individually packaged, at least partially liquid individual products before use is generally designated 1 in the drawing. This packaging consists of a folding blank 2 made of cardboard, this folding blank 2 being coated on one side, namely that which forms the inner wall in the finished packaging 1, in a moisture-proof manner. This moisture-proof coating can be implemented by impregnating the cardboard material or by applying a lacquer layer (preferably applied using the printing process) or by laminating on a plastic coating.

In the preferred embodiment shown, the folded blank 2 initially has an approximately rectangular bottom wall 3, on which narrow side walls 4, 5 and wide side walls 6, 7 are hinged all around and alternately at the edges. As shown in FIG. 2, the arrangement is preferably such that the narrow side walls 4, 5 are articulated on the bottom wall 3 via straight fold lines 8, 8a, which is basically also provided for the wide side walls 6, 7 can if the corresponding edges of the bottom wall 3 are rectilinear. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, however, it is provided that the broad side walls 6, 7 are each articulated on the bottom wall 3 via two concave fold lines 9, 9a and 10, 10a, such that between the bottom wall 3 and the wide side wall 6 or 7, a concave area 6a or 7a is included. After folding the folding blank 2 and forming the packaging 1, this leads to packaging which is easier to handle, more visually appealing and more stable.

Adjacent ends of the side walls 4, 5, 6, 7 are connected to foldable flaps 23 hinged to them via fold lines 19, 20, 21, 21, 22, 22a, each flap 23 having an approximately diagonal middle fold line 24. If the folding blank 2 is folded into a package 1, the flaps 23 are folded in accordingly in the corner areas, such that the respectively extended area 23a projects beyond the shorter area 23b and with the part projecting beyond the shorter area 23b on the respective narrow side wall 4 or 5 can be glued, it is sufficient to glue only this area. A packaging interior is then evidently available which, apart from this gluing in the upper side wall area, has no gluing points at all, but rather only interconnected surfaces which are coated on the inside in a liquid-tight manner.

As shown in FIG. 2, the top wall 18 can be glued to the tabs 14, 15, 16 in question in a simple manner, with the top wall 18 easily being open at one end along a line of perforations 25 for easier opening has an opening that can be removed with a finger and can then be reached under the top wall 18 in order to pull it off the packaging 1. For this purpose, continuous perforations are provided in the two longitudinal side edge areas, which are not shown and make it easier to pull off the top wall 18.

For example, a bottle of liquid (H2O2) and a bag of coloring powder are placed in the packaging 1 before the top wall 18 is closed. Then the ceiling wall 18 is then closed or glued. The packaging 1 then serves initially as transport packaging. If the user wants to use the ingredients contained in the packaging, i.e. mix with each other, he opens the packaging 1 by tearing off the top wall 18 and removes the vial and the powdered dye bag. The packaging 1 is then empty and, due to its moisture-proof inner lining, is available as a mixing trough into which the two product components can then be introduced and mixed with one another.

In order to make handling even easier when mixing, it is provided that the folding lines 19, 20, 21a and 22a are not aligned exactly perpendicular to the respective longitudinal direction of the associated side wall 4, 5, 6, 7, but rather somewhat tends in such a way that in the finished packaging 1 the side walls 5, 6, 7 are slightly inclined towards the outside.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown. Further configurations are possible without leaving the basic idea. In principle, a conventional cuboid cardboard packaging could also be used, the inner wall of which is coated to be moisture-proof. In such a configuration, it is then only necessary to ensure that all the connecting straps, in particular in the bottom and side wall corner areas, are glued to one another in a moisture-tight manner and the like.
