Abstract

Hohlzylindrisches Filterelement aus einer Lage flächigen Filtermaterials, das im wesentlichen zickzackförmig um geradlining verlaufende Faltlinien in Falten gelegt und an gegenüberliegenden Begrenzungskanten der Lage zu einem geschlossenen Hohlzylinder verbunden ist, wobei Falten unterschiedlicher radialer Erstreckung, d.h. breite und schmale Falten, vorgesehen sind derart, daß sich die breiten Falten (4) im wesentlichen vom äußeren zum inneren Umfang und die schmaleren Falten (5.1, 5.2) nur über einen Teil der Strecke vom äußeren zum inneren Umfang des Hohlzylinders erstrecken und die breiten und schmalen Falten (4, 5.1, 5.2) mit vorgegebener Periodizität aufeinanderfolgen, wobei daß auf mindestens einem Teil von Faltenwänden der schmalen Falten (5.1, 5.2) des Filtermaterials Abstandshalter (11a, 12) mit einer solchen Höhe vorgesehen sind, daß diese jeweils eine benachbarte Faltenwand berühren und die einander benachbarten Faltenwände in einem vorbestimmten Abstand gegeneinander abstützen.
