Abstract

The present invention relates to a non-slip complex for a shower floor and a shower and bathtub step-out surface. Said complex is comprised on the one hand of a plywood plate for shower floor, which is epoxy treated and covered on its upper face with polymorphous grains of Al2O3 and counterbalanced equilibrated in its lower part by means of ribbed angles which are flexible but pressure resistant; and on the other hand of a plate for a shower or bathtub step-out surface which is also expoxy treated and covered on its upper face with polymorphous grains of Al2O3 but of which the lower face is made non-slip by sticking three bands of rubber or polymer with ribs set in alternation.

Description

With regard to the washrooms, where are we currently in terms of standing security? -Let's say, nothing has really been successful. I- Inside the aouches, the receptacles are generally provided with molded ribs which however do not prevent the foot from sliding in the soapy water.
We have imagined wooden gratings but the slats which compose them, being separated by too large a space, make them uncomfortable for feet aching with calluses, corns or rheumatism; if. on the other hand, these slats are too tight - the soapy dirt dries out on the vertical parts which become nests for bacteria or perhaps transmissible fungi.
We have imagined plastic gratings, but the tracery has the same disadvantages for the feet as we have just mentioned.
Furthermore, the wooden gratings, being rigid, are unstable on the ribs of the receptacles. They can slip when putting on the first foot and then limp under the feet during the shower - which is annoying and even stressful for nervous people.
II- A la sortie des douches ou des baignoiresII- At the exit of showers or baths
The installation of the 1st foot, wet, touching the tiles, the marble, can slip especially if it belongs to an elderly person ... and elderly people there will be more and more in the very near future.
The remedy for these imperfections: Is there really a way to avoid the disadvantages described above? The present invention provides a satisfactory response. I Regarding shower receptacles:
The first foot, when one enters the shower cannot slip, nor the second when one leaves it. 5 2) The supporting surface cannot slide over the receptacle of the shower and remains perfectly balanced.
10 II En ce qui concerne la sortie de douche ou de bai¬ gnoire3) The cleanliness is total because the surfaces are everywhere brushable and rinsable - no nooks out of reach. 10 II Regarding the shower or bathtub outlet
The added surface is perfectly non-slip at the foot and cannot itself slip on the tiles. Furthermore, it too is brushable, washable and easily rinsable.
De quoi est composé ce complexe antiglissant pour salle d'eau ?What is this anti-slip bathroom complex made of?
This dimension was chosen to allow the introduction of the plate in small showers. As well the oversize ent of this plate proves useless at the ex¬ experience because the man of average build cannot be glued to the wall of a shower if he wants to keep himself in balance. • Z Q Its support polygon is much smaller than the surface of the plate of 50 cm X 50 cm.
This plate is epoxidized on all sides with leveling of the cha s using epoxy mortar.
The coating layers are studied in thickness 35 to receive polymorphic grains of AL2.03 of 300 microns constituting the non-slip surface. These grains should present, after finishing, a white surface having the appearance of a snow field shining in the sun. They should not be covered with paint. This surface is perfectly non-slip. The foot can even slide on a soap escaped from the hands, but will be blocked as soon as the soap is exceeded.
Despite this obvious roughness, the foot remains firmly in place, providing security for anyone regardless of age.
This plate, non-slip for the foot, also has the advantage of being non-slip compared to the recepta¬ key of the shower: four brackets of 15 cs on the outside are made from an EPDM profile, section trapezoidal with an orthogonal face thus forming an L-shaped pyramid trunk, the small base of which is ribbed by molding and the large, smooth base, is to be bonded to the underside of the non-slip plate.
These ribbed brackets, in the shape of a pyramid bole, bring the following advantages to the assembly: - the contrared arrangement of the ribs prevents the en¬ seems to slide on the receptacle of the shower.
Cette disposition des équerres dessine également des créneaux permettant l'évacuation de l'eau et évi- tant l'effet "baignoire".- The "trunk of pyramid" shape avoids nooks where dirt and protruding soaps that protect bacteria and fungi would not fail to accumulate; despite brushing and rinsing. - Finally these brackets in E.P.D.M. resistant to pressure, but nevertheless flexible, conform to the volume of the ribs of the shower receptacles, thus determining perfect stability to said plate. This arrangement of the brackets also draws slots allowing the evacuation of the water and avoiding the "bathtub" effect.
Ces figures sont présentées surFigures 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 illustrate the mounting details. Figure 2 shows the underside of the iVic plate the arrangement of the 4 brackets. Figure 3 of sectional plane. Mais pour des raisons économiques nous la décri¬ vons comme étant un carré de 61 cm X 61 cm - (Fig 7)2) Description of the so-called shower or bath outlet plate "The shower or bath outlet plate can be of various dimensions at the request of users. But for economic reasons we describe it as being a square of 61 cm X 61 cm - (Fig 7)
La seule différence réside dans l'épaisseur et dansConsisting of a plywood 5 ra / πι thick, it is, like the plate known as shower base completely epoxidized cha s included. The upper surface is non-slip, of the same constitution as the "shower bottom" plate and always having the appearance of a snow field shining in the sun. The only difference is the thickness and
"l'accrochage" de cette plaque sur le carrelage de la salle d' ea.u.the "hanging" of this plate on the tiling of the ea.u.
This attachment is special since it cannot be a matter of fixing this non-slip plate to the ground or by screwing, locking or gluing.
These bands are ribbed. According to. figure n ° 9 in appendix n ° 2, the 2 outer bands are ribbed in the longitudinal direction - and the central band in the transverse direction.
Experience shows that the process is effective. The plate hardly remains displaceable if it is not voluntarily lifted for cleaning and drying. Figures 7, 8 and 9 are shown on the. sheet n ° 2 in annex.
