Description
FURNITURE ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a furniture arrangement providing, when constipated, a shelter providing a tablet and/or as console with carriage or serving trolley and from the structure and its content, a table, and eight chairs,
in addition of the carriage or serving trolley, all having canonical dimensions, wherein the parts comprising the structure are three, connected together by two hinging axles. Of course, in the furnishing of ambients may be used more arrangements, each time, arranging them with settlements equal or complimentary, in consideration of their flexibility of employment of the scarce space that they occupy when constipated and by the abundance of functions that they can perform when they are developed. At the present state of the art for in the field of furnishing, are known a number of pieces of furniture adapted to provide more function, generally two. The two settlements maintain to the piece of furniture, a cumbersome, at least in plane view, substantially unchanged and the differences between the piece of furniture constipated and developed remain in a reducing ratio which do not exceed about 1/2.
The invention, as claimed, is intended to remedy these drawbacks. The inventor, with ingenious perception, has conceived a furniture arrangement providing, when constipated, a shelter providing a tablet and/or as console with carriage or serving trolley and from the structure and its content, a table, and
eight chairs, in addition of the carriage or serving trolley, all having canonical dimensions, wherein the parts comprising the structure are three, connected together by two hinging axles.
The furniture arrangement and its transformations not only have canonical attitude but allows technical and aesthetic divagation such as to permit harmonization to the ambient which cannot be distinguished from the pieces of furniture provided for that.
Essential elements of the piece of furniture and its transformations are hinges and latches which solidarize the members of the piece of furniture at various positions.
In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the chairs, per se compactible, may be placed in case-like containers in order to obtain an easy transport.
The manifold developing degree in addition to triplicate substantially the utility, even the developing ratio is triplicated and is about 7/1 The fact that these developing degrees are referred to three different functions of four objects, produces an exponential developing of combinations, substantially without limits.
The same management of the innovative specific principle of the present invention, may suggest partial aesthetic and/or functional development of one or more attitudes of the arrangement in relation to other pieces of furniture such as for example the beds.
In accordance with the present invention, the arrangement, elementarily considered, comprises substantially a main device, capable of assuming three effective settlements, an apparatus capable of assuming two effective
settlements, as well as two containers in the form of travelling cases, for the constipated chairs and eight chairs; chairs and containers having reciprocally an effective and and a rest attitude.
The main device, capable of assuming three effective settlements, is substantially comprised by three parts, connected therebetween by two hinging axles. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention present invention, each hinging axis (12) is comprised by at least two hinges, at least one
of which provided with a lockable latch. The three effective settlements are: 1) table; 2) tablet; 3) console The apparatus capable of assuming two effective settlements is comprised by four members and i two effective settlements are: 1) as supporting base of the console ; 2) as carriage or serving trolley;
The furniture arrangement is completed by two containers in the form of travelling cases and eight chairs which are compactible in their chest. One way of carrying out the invention is described in detail below, with reference to the drawings, which illustrate a specific embodiments, in which:.

Figure 12 shows, in a perspective view, one of the two cases, which are shown inside the tablet of figure 11. The case is in wide-open attitude so as to show its content. Such case is in the form of a travelling case and is shown with only one of the four chairs which may be placed therein.
Figure 13 shows, in perspective view, one of the chairs of the kind to be placed inside the cases, ready to be used.
Figure 14 shows, in perspective view, the table of figure 1, including eight
chairs of the kind shown in figure 13.
Figure 15 shows, in perspective view, taken from the bottom, the table of figure 1, as well as two hinges, one of which is lockable.
Referring now to the figures of the drawings, in accordance with the present invention, a furniture arrangement provides, when constipated, a shelter with a base, usable as tablet and/or as console with carriage or serving trolley and from the structure and its content, a table, and eight chairs,
comprises a main device 1, capable of assuming three effective settlements (figures 1, 4 and 5), un equipment 2, capable of assuming two effective settlements (figures 8 and 10), two containers 3 (figures 11 and 12) in the form of travelling cases for the chairs compacted and eight chairs 4; the chairs 4 and i containers 3 having reciprocally un effective settlement (figures 12 and 13) and one of rest (figure 11).
The main device 1, capable of assuming three effective settlements, is substantially comprised by three parts 10, 11, 10', connected therebetween by two hinging axles 12. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention present invention, each hinging axis (12) is comprised by at least two hinges 12', 12". At least one 12" of the two hinges is provided by a lockable latch 13 The main members 10, 10' are substantially as trestles. Each of the two trestles 10, 10' is made by three parts 01, 011, 01, wherein 01 and 01 comprise the legs of the trestle and 011 shows the flat top which connects them together. I three components 01, 011, 01 of the two trestles 10, 10' have the same width, but of it and of the other dimensions and of their ratios it will be spoken later on. In order to provide from the device 1 a table (figure 1) of canonical height, the trestles 10, 10' must
obviously have the same dimension. Such dimension is comprised by the length of the legs 01 of the same trestles 10, 10', plus the thickness of the flat top Oil of connection of the legs 01. The wall thickness of the legs 01 is preferable that it is the same as the thickness of the wall of the flat top 11, but optionally it may be different. On the contrary, the main member 11, which connects the trestles 10,
10' together must be of the same thickness than that of the flat top 011 of connection of the legs 01 of the trestles 10, 10'. Providing a canonical dimension of the height of the resting flat top 11 of the table 1 at 75 cm, it is reasonable to choose a length of the legs 01 of the trestles and of the resulting table of 70 cm including a wall thickness of the flat tops 011, 11, 011 of 5 cm. Since the idea of solution informing the present invention includes dimensional ratios mathematically defined, they, obviously, may be complied even in a different range of canonical dimensions, e.g. the preferred dimension, instead than 70 cm, may be comprised between 45 cm and 80 cm and the thickness of the flat top 011, 11, 011 may be kept between 2 cm and 10 cm. This is the reason why they are not expressed in unit but in letters.
With K it is defined the height of the upright support 01 of the table 1, while la width of the trestles 10, 10', at least in their essential parts, is 1/2K. The dimension of the flat top middle part 11 linking the two end flat tops 011 of the trestles 10, 10' i.e. the length of the flat top 11, is 2K. Instead, the width of the table, i.e. the length of the trestles 10, 10' is optional and in usually is kept between 60 cm and 120 cm; optymally it is of 90 cm; optional too is the projecting marge of the flat top 011 of the legs 01. Preferably it is kept the same as the wall thickness of the flat top 11 of the table 1 i.e. 011 as trestles 10, 10'.
The three effective settlements of the main device 1 are as follow:
1) table as shown in figures 1, 14 and 15;
2) tablet as shown in figures 3, 4 and 11;
3) console as shown in figure 5. The apparatus 2, (figures 6, 7, 8, 9 10), is capable of assuming two effective settlements. It comprises four members 20, 21, 20', 22 . The three main members 20, 21, 20' are hinged together along their two adjacent sides 02. In
particular, the members 20, 20' are equal, though are assembled at opposed ends. The apparatus 2, unfolded flat, has dimensions in plane view 1/2K x 2K, plus an optional marge surrounding the flat top of the console. The end sides 20, 20' of the unfolded flat apparatus 2 i.e. the bottom ends of its carriage or serving trolley attitude (figures 8, 9 and 10) are thickened and at the step determining the thickening there is a demi-dove-like inclined plane. Such two demi-dove-like inclined plane, are complimentary to the inclined planes provided by the ends of the fourth member 22 of the apparatus 2, so that they may fit together giving steadiness to the carriage or serving trolley 2. At the bottom corner of the thickened sections four wheels 0 are embodied whereby they project from two adjacent planes at right angles so that they may roll on the flooring, both in case that the apparatus 2 is in a unwrapped attitude (figures 6 and 8) when it is used as a console base (figure 5), and in a wrapped carriage or serving trolley attitude
(figure 10) in which obviously the wheels 0 comprise the essential elements. The two effective settlements of the apparatus 2 are:
1) as supporting base of the console (figures 6, 7, and 8);
2) as carriage or serving trolley (figures 9, and 10);
The two containers 3 in the form of travelling cases are characterised by an internal space, having its lowest dimension equal to the thickness of four constipated chairs 4, a width as the width of the chair and a length as the height of the chair. Since the dimensions of the chair 4 are 1/16K, 2/3K and 5/4K, the dimensions of the cases 3 are 1/4K x 2/3K and 5/4K, i.e. per the two cases 1/2 K x
2/3K and 5/4K which corresponds, at least regarding one of their dimension, that of the total thickness to the dimension available in the hollow of the tablet
(figure 11).
The canonical dimension of the table 1 with K= 70 cm, corresponds to the width of each chair 4 of cm 43. Thus it is possible to fit, along the longitudinal sides of the table, six chairs 4 and other two chairs 4 at the heads of the table, for a total of eight chairs. Regarding the thickness it is of cm 4,2 which is certainly congruous.
