Abstract

Un dispositif de libération régulée destiné à libérer une substance liquide dans le corps d'un patient, à un moment prédéterminé après son administration, comprend un tampon mâle d'hydrogel (2) introduit dans le col (4) d'un corps femelle (6). La substance liquide (12) est contenue à l'intérieur d'une capsule (10) formée dans un matériau soluble dans l'eau et retenue à l'intérieur du dispositif, empêchant ainsi toute interaction du liquide avec le reste du dispositif. Lorsqu'on place le dispositif dans un milieu aqueux (par exemple le tractus gastro-intestinal), le tampon d'hydrogel se gonfle et se dégage du corps femelle après une période de temps prédéterminée, exposant la capsule soluble dans l'eau à l'environnement aqueux, laquelle capsule se dissout pour libérer le liquide.
