Abstract

The universal shoe toecap and stiffener protector is a device in ladies' and gentlemen's footwear to protect the toecap and stiffener from wear during their use in motor vehicles. In the present state of the art, there are 'protective vehicle floor inserts' for this problem. They do prevent wear to some extent, buy very poorly as they have considerably drawbacks; for example, they quickly become soiled and, depending on the nature of the material, also absorb water during rain or snow. This soiling also causes wear during foot movements when the accelerator, brake or clutch pedals are being operated. It is the purpose of the universal shoe toecap and stiffener protector to eliminate this problem solely through its direct attachment to the shoe so that the shoe can no longer suffer wear from any particles of dirt. It is secured to the shoe by hook-and-loop, perforated, eyelet or laced attachments.
