Description

BriefordnerLetter folder
Beschreibungdescription
The invention relates to a letter folder with a folder cover, preferably made of stiff cardboard material, and a folder mechanism that can be releasably fastened with its base plate on the inside of the folder cover.
The folder mechanism of known letter folders usually has two line-up pins protruding vertically on the base plate for receiving perforated writing material, a folding bracket which can be pivoted to a limited extent on the base plate between an open position and a closed position, and an actuating lever which acts directly or indirectly on the folding bracket. In most letter requests, the folder mechanism is factory-riveted to the back cover of the folder cover. This means that the folders can be used immediately without any assembly effort. However, due to the bulky mechanics, the empty folders require considerable storage and transport space. In order to avoid this disadvantage, it is already known to rivet a slide-in plate on the inside of the back cover of the folder cover, into which the folder mechanism can be releasably inserted. The locking takes place there via resilient tongues or resilient impressions standing up on the insertion plate. With these measures it is possible to store and send the folder mechanism and the folder bindings separately. The A- However, the sliding plate has upstanding metallic latching parts which, in the case of a tight packing for shipping purposes, can damage the adjacent bindings. The capacity of the folder is also reduced by the base plate and insert plate of the folder mechanism projecting beyond the inner surface of the folder cover.
Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to improve the known letter folder of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the folder mechanics can be easily removed from the folder cover and an increased capacity can nevertheless be achieved.
To achieve this object, the combination of features specified in claim 1 is proposed.
The solution according to the invention is based on the idea that with a recessed arrangement of the base plate of the folder mechanism in the relatively thick-walled cardboard material of the folder cover, an increased capacity and a better and damage-free stackability of the folder covers can be achieved. In order to achieve this, it is proposed according to the invention that the binder cover has an opening at least corresponding to the size of the base plate, in which the base plate of the folder mechanism is arranged recessed and detachably fastened.
A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that a mounting frame is inserted into the opening for receiving the base plate and is anchored to the opening edge. The mounting frame expediently has a guide and locking device for the base plate. It can be bounded to the outside of the cover by an at least partially closed rear wall and can thus be designed like a trough.
A particularly simple type of fastening provides that the mounting frame extends through the opening and is anchored in a positive and non-positive manner at the opening edge with flanged, bent or molded edge parts or bent tabs against the inside and outside surfaces of the binder cover. Furthermore, it is possible to rivet the mounting frame to the opening edge with bent edge parts or bending tabs projecting beyond the inner surface of the binder cover.
- ' -To form the guide and locking device, the mounting frame advantageously has guide and / or locking ribs for the base plate edge which are bent towards the inside of the frame. For this purpose it is also possible that at least one latching element which engages in the frame interior, preferably resiliently and can be snapped onto the base plate, is formed on the mounting frame, either as a snap-in cam formed on the mounting frame edge, overlapping the base plate edge on one side, or as out of the mounting frame edge or punched out of the rear wall, latching tongue can be formed in a locking recess of the base plate. - ' -
In order to conceal the base plate and / or the mounting frame on the outside of the cover, the folder cover can have a cover that is laminated on its outer surface and overlaps the opening and is preferably attached or glued to the rear wall of the mounting frame or to the base plate.

The folder bindings 10 shown in the drawing, made of thick-walled cardboard material, have a folder back 12, a front cover 14 and one Back cover 16, which are integrally connected to one another at their mutually facing edge edges produced by embossing or upsetting deformation. On the inside of the back cover 16, a folder mechanism 22 is releasably attached with its base plate 24 (FIG. 1c). The folder mechanism engages with vertically protruding alignment pins and a two-legged folding bracket 26 bent from metal wire from the rear cover 16 through the folder interior in the direction of the front cover 14. The folder mechanism 22 is actuated via an actuating lever 28 which is pivotably mounted on a bearing plate 30 which is fixed to the base plate and acts against an offset of the folding bracket 26 which is under the action of a leaf spring.
The folder cover 10 has an opening 32 corresponding to the size of the base plate 24, in which the base plate 24 of the folder mechanism 22 is arranged recessed and detachably fastened (FIG. 1 c).
To fasten the base plate, a mounting frame 34 is inserted into the opening 32 and anchored to the folder cover 10 in the edge region of the opening 32. The exemplary embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 differ from one another in the design of the mounting frame 34 and the guide and locking devices for the base plate 24.
In the embodiment of Fig. La to c is a rectangular, trough-shaped mounting frame with a rear wall 36 facing the rear cover exterior, preferably made of sheet metal, is fastened to the rear cover 16 by means of rivets 40 by means of rivets 40 which protrude on the narrow side edges. On the longitudinal side edges of the mounting frame 34, two guide lugs 42 bent over towards the inside of the frame are provided for two side edges of the base plate 24 lying opposite one another, while a spring tongue 44 bent toward the inside of the frame is punched out of the rear wall 36 and in the assembled position in a corresponding recess can be snapped into the base plate 24. During assembly, the folder mechanism 22 is inserted into the assembly frame 34 with its base plate 24 in the direction of the arrow 46.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 2a to c, a trough-shaped mounting frame 34 designed as an injection molded part made of plastic is provided, which, with its profiled edge and its edge parts 38 projecting on the inside and outside, is inserted into the opening 32 and positively engages at the opening edge ¬ core. At a distance from the rear wall 36, guide strips 42 pointing towards the inside of the frame and a detent spring 48 arranged on the opposite edge are provided for the positive and non-positive reception of the base plate edge in the assembled position. In this case, during assembly, the base plate is pushed into the assembly frame 34 in the direction of the arrow 50 transversely to the file spine 12. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 3a to c, a mounting frame 34 made of die-cast zinc is provided, which for the rest has a shape similar to that of the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 2a to c. The mounting frame 34 is here with its profiled edge 38 positively attached to the edge area of the opening 32 and secured to the binder cover with bending tabs 52. The rear wall 36 is not closed for reasons of weight, but has a frame-like opening 54. The folder mechanism is pushed in the direction of arrow 50 with its edge under the guide tabs 42 and secured to the mounting frame 34 with the bending tab 48 '(FIG. 3b).
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 4a to d, the mounting frame 34 consists of a profiled steel band, which is secured to the folder binding with bending tabs 38 'folded outwards against the outer and inner surfaces of the folder binding in the region of the opening edge, and that has a groove 56 on three frame legs for receiving the base plate edge of the folder mechanism.
