Description
2 ,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyanotrifluoromethylbenzol und seine
Verwendung als Fungizid
Die Erfindung betrifft 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid, ein Verfahren zu seiner Herstellung und seine Verwendung als Fungizid.
Die Verbindung Tetrachlorisopthalonitril und deren Verwendung als Fungizid in Pflanzenschutz ist bekannt
(US 3 290 353, US 3 331 735).
Gegenstand der Anmeldung ist das neue 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6- tricyano-benzotrifluorid der Formel (I)
Das neue 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid weist starke fungizide Eigenschaften insbesondere gegenüber pflanzenpathogenen Pilzen auf.
Überraschenderweise zeigt das erf indungsgemäβe 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid eine erhebliche höhere fungizide Wirkung als das aus dem Stand der Technik bekannte Tetrachlorisophthalonitril (Chlorothalonil), welches eine strukturell naheliegende Verbindung ist.
Man erhält das 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid der Formel (I), wenn man Pentachlorbenzotrifluorid der Formel (II)
Als Alkalicyanide werden vorzugsweise die Cyanide des Natriums und/oder Kaliums eingesetzt.
Der Reaktionsablauf läßt sich z.B. bei Verwendung von Natriumcyanid durch das folgende Formel schema darstellen:
Das zur Durchfuhrung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens als Ausgangsstoff benötigte Pentachlorbenzotrifluorid der Formel (II) ist bekannt (vgl. ÜS-Patent 2 654 789 (1948]; CA. 1954, 12799). Die benötigten Alkalicyanid sind allgemein bekannte anorganische Verbindungen.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren wird vorzugsweise in organischen Verdünnungsmitteln ausgeführt; als solche eignen sich insbesondere aprotische dipolare organische Lösungsmittel, wie z.B. N,N-Di-C1-C4-alkylamide aliphatischer C1-C6-Carbonsäuren, wie N,N-Dimethyl formamid, N,N- Diethylformamid, N-Methylpyrrolidinon, N-Methylcaprolactarn; aliphatische Sulfoxide wie Dimethylsulfoxid, aliphatische Sulfone wie Dimethylsulfon und Tetramethylensulfon; ferner Tetramethylharnstoff, N,N'-Dimethyl-1,3- imidazolidin-2-on und Hexamethylphosphorsauretriamid. Besonders bevorzugt sind N,N-Dimethylformamid und N- Methylpyrrol idinon.
Die Menge Verdünnungsmittel beträgt im allgemeinen pro Gramm Ausgangsprodukt (II) 1 bis 100, vorzugsweise 5 bis 20 ml Verdünnungsmittel.
Zur vollständigen Umsetzung eines Mols Pentachlorbenzotrifluorid der Formel (II) sind formal 3 Mol Alkalicyanid erforderlich. Zur Erzielung eines möglichst vollständigen Umsatzes ist es jedoch günstig, mit bis zu 100 % Überschuß an stöchiometrisch erforderlichen Alkalicyanid zu arbeiten.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren wird bei Temperaturen von -50°C bis +100°C, vorzugsweise von 0°C bis +80°C, besonders bevorzugt von +20°C bis +60°C im allgemeinen bei Normaldruck ausgeführt.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren wird vorzugsweise so ausgeführt, daß man die Lösung des Ausgangsproduktes (II) in einem wasserfreien Lösungsmittel unter Feuchtigkeits
ausschluβ (z.B. in Stickstoff-Atmosphäre) und unter Rühren mit dem Alkalicyanid versetzt. Um einen möglichst raschen Umsatz zu erreichen ist es vorteilhaft, die zu Beginn exotherme Reaktion nicht durch Kühlung zu unterbinden, weil sie bereits in den besonders bevorzugten Temperaturbereich von 20-60° C hineinreicht. Etwa 8 bis 10 Stunden im besonders bevorzugten Temperaturbereich führen zu einem mindestens 95 %igen Umsatz des Ausgangsstoffs (II) zur gewünschten erfindungsgemäßen Verbindung (I). Reaktionstemperaturen unterhalb 20°C erhöhen die Reaktionszeiten, während bei Reaktionstemperaturen oberhalb von 60° C in zunehmendem Maße unerwünschte Nebenprodukte entstehen.
Gegebenenfalls nicht umgesetzte Ausgangsprodukt der Formel (II) kann durch Verrühren in möglichst wenig Petrolether oder Hexan bei Raumtemperatur gelöst, durch Filtration quantitativ abgetrennt und nach Abziehen des Lösungsmittels wiederverwendet werden (gegebenenfalls nach vorherigem schonendem Abziehen des Lösungsmittels). Das erfindungsgemäße 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid der Formel (I) ist in Petrolether bzw. Hexan praktisch unlöslich.
Das durch Ausfüllen in Wasser erhaltene erfindungsgemäße 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid der Formel (I) kann durch Verrühren des trockenen Rohprodukts mit z.B. der zehnfachen Gewichtsmenge Toluol bei Raumtemperatur und anschließendes Filtrieren praktisch quantitativ vom Reakt ionsprodukt abgetrennt werden.
Das erfindungsgemäße 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid der Formel (I) wird durch Abziehen des Toluols rein erhalten. Falls gewünscht kann (I) z.B. durch Umkristall isat ion, z.B. aus wenig 1,2-Dichlorethan oder aus viel Cyanohexan, nachgereinigt werden.
Der erfindungsgemäße Stoff eignet sich als Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel, insbesondere als Fungizide.
Fungizide werden im Pflanzenschutz eingesetzt zur Bekämpfung von Plasmadiophoromycetes, Oomycetes, Chytridiomy- cetes, Zygomycetes, Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, Deuteromycetes.
Beispielhaft aber nicht begrenzend seien einige Erreger von pilzlichen Erkrankungen, die unter die oben aufgezählten Oberbegriffe fallen, genannt:

Die gute Pflanzenverträglichkeit der Wirkstoffe in den zur Bekämpfung von Pflanzenkrankheiten notwendigen Konzentrationen erlaubt eine Behandlung von oberirdischen Pflanzenteilen, von Pflanz- und Saatgut und des Bodens.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Wirkstoffe eignen sich insbesondere zur Bekämpfung von Fusarium spp. und Pyricularia oryzae am Reis. Sie zeigen außerdem auch eine gute in- vitro-Wirksamkeit.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Stoffe können in die üblichen Formulierungen überführt werden, wie Lösungen, Emulsionen, Suspensionen, Pulver, Schäume, Pasten, Granulate, Aerosole, Feinstverkapselungen in polymeren Stoffen und in Hüllmassen für Saatgut, sowie ULV-Formul ierungen.
Diese Formulierungen werden in bekannter Weise hergestellt, z.B. durch Vermischen der Wirkstoffe mit Streckmitteln, also flüssigen Lösungsmitteln, unter Druck stehenden verflüssigten Gasen und/oder festen Trägerstoffen, gegebenenfalls unter Verwendung von oberflächenaktiven Mitteln, also Emulgiermitteln und/oder Dispergiermitteln und/oder schaumerzeugenden Mitteln. Im Falle der Benutzung von Wasser als Streckmittel können z.B. auch organische Lösungsmittel als Hilfslösungsmittel verwendet werden. Als flüssige Lösungsmittel kommen im wesentlichen in Frage: Aromaten, wie Xylol, Toluol, oder Alkylnaphthaline, chlorierte Aromaten oder chlorierte aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Chlorbenzole, Chlorethylene oder Methylenchlorid, aliphatische Kohlen- Wasserstoffe, wie Cyclohexan oder Paraffine, z.B. Erdölfraktionen, Alkohole, wie Butanol oder Glycol sowie deren Ether und Ester, Ketone, wie Aceton, Methylethylketon, Methyl isobutylketon oder Cyclohexanon, stark polare Lösungsmittel, wie Dimethylformamid und Dimethylsulfoxid, sowie Wasser; mit verflüssigten gasförmigen Streckmitteln oder Trägerstoffen sind solche Flüssigkeiten gemeint, welche bei normaler Temperatur und unter Normaldruck gasförmig sind, z.B. Aerosol-Treibgase, wie Butan, Propan, Stickstoff und Kohlendioxid; als feste
Trägerstoffe kommen in Frage: z.B. natürliche Gesteinsmehle, wie Kaoline, Tonerden, Talkum, Kreide, Quarz, Attapulgit, Montmorillonit oder Diatomeenerde und synthetische Gesteinsmehle, wie hochdisperse Kieselsäure, Aluminiumoxid und Silikate; als feste Trägerstoffe für Granulate kommen in Frage: z.B. gebrochene und fraktionierte natürliche Gesteine wie Calcit, Marmor, Bims, Sepiolith, Dolomit sowie synthetische Granulate aus anorganischen und organischen Mehlen sowie Granulate aus organischem Material wie Sägemehl, Kokosnußschalen, Maiskolben und Tabakstengel; als Emulgier und/oder schaumerzeugende Mittel kommen in Frage: z.B. nichtionogene und anionische Emulgatoren, wie PolyoxyethylenFettsäure-Ester, Polyoxyethylen-Fettalkohol-Ether, z.B. Alkylarylpolyglykol-Ether, Alkylsulfonate, Alkylsulfate, Arylsulfonate sowie Eiweißhydrolysate; als Dispergiermittel kommen in Frage: z.B. Lignin-Sulfitablaugen und Methylcellulose.
Es können in den Formulierungen Haftmittel wie Carboxymethylcellulose, natürliche und synthetische pulverige, körnige oder latexformige Polymere verwendet werden, wie Gummiarabicum, Polyvinylalkohol, Polyvinylacetat, sowie natürliche Phospholipide, wie Kephaline und Lecithine, und synthetische Phospholipide. Weitere Additive können mineralische und vegetabile Öle sein.
Es können Farbstoffe wie anorganische Pigmente, z.B. Eisenoxid, Titanoxid, Ferrocyanblau und organische Farbstoffe, wie Alizarin-, Azo- und Metallphthalocyaninfarb
Stoffe und Spurennährstoffe wie Salze von Eisen, Mangan, Bor, Kupfer, Kobalt, Molybdän und Zink verwendet werden.
Die Formulierungen enthalten im allgemeinen zwischen 0,1 und 95 Gewichtsprozent Wirkstoff, vorzugsweise zwischen 0,5 und 90 %.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Wirkstoffe können in den Formulierungen in Mischung mit anderen bekannten Wirkstoffen vorliegen wie Fungizide, Insektizide, Akarizide und Herbizide sowie in Mischungen mit Düngemitteln und Wachstumsregulatoren,
Die Wirkstoffe können als solche, in Form ihrer Formulierungen oder den daraus bereiteten Anwendungsformen wie gebrauchsfertige Lösungen, emulgierbare Konzentrate, Emulsionen, Schäume, Suspensionen, Spritzpulver, Pasten, lösliche Pulver, Stäubemittel und Granulate, angewendet werden. Die Anwendung geschieht in üblicher Weise, z.B. durch Gießen, Verspritzen, Versprühen, Verstreuen, Verstäuben, Verschäumen, Bestreichen usw. Es ist ferner möglich, die Wirkstoffe nach dem Ultra-Low-Volume-Ver- fahren auszubringen oder die WirkstoffZubereitung oder den Wirkstoff selbst in den Boden zu injizieren. Es kann auch das Saatgut der Pflanzen behandelt werden.
Beim Einsatz der erfindungsgemäßen Stoffe kann die Aufwandmenge je nach Art der Applikation in einem größeren Bereich variiert werden. So liegen die Wirkstoffkonzen
trationen bei der Behandlung von Pflanzenteilen in den Anwendungsformen im allgemeinen zwischen 1 und 0,0001 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise zwischen 0,5 und 0,001 %. Bei der Saatgutbehandlung werden im allgemeinen Wirkstof fmengen von 0,001 bis 50 g je kg Saatgut, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 10 g benötigt. Bei der Behandlung des Bodens sind Wirkstoffkonzentrat ionen von 0,00001 bis 0,1 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise von 0,0001 bis 0,02 %, am Wirkungsort erforderlich. Die Herstellung und die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Stoffe geht aus den folgenden Beispielen hervor.
Herstellunqsbeispiel
Die Lösung von 50 g (0,157 Mol) Pentachlorbenzotrifluorid in 450 ml trockenem Dimethylformamid wird unter Rühren und unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß bei Raumtemperatur mit 38,5 g (0,786 Mol) Natriumcyanid versetzt.
Zunächst rührt man etwa eine Stunde ohne Kühlung kräftig weiter; hierbei steigt die Innentemperatur der schwach exothermen Reaktion auf etwa 40-42°C an. Danach erhitzt man unter weiteren kräftigen Rühren 8 Stunden auf eine Innentemperatur von 35° C. Anschließend wird die noch warme Reaktionsmischung unter Rühren in 3 Liter Wasser von Raumtemperatur gegossen, wobei ein Niederschlag anfällt. Dieser wird abfiltriert, mit Wasser gewaschen, bis das Filtrat praktisch farblos abläuft, und bei Raumtemperatur an der Luft bis zur Gewichtkonstanz
getrocknet.
Rohausbeute: 37,3 g (81,9 % )
2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid von einer Reinheit > 95 % . Schmelzpunkt nach Umkristallisieren aus 1,2-Dichlorethan 198-199°C,
Anwendungsbeispiele
Botrytis-Test (Bohne) / protektiv
Lösungsmittel: 4,7 Gewichtsteile Aceton
Emulgator: 0,3 Gewichtsteile Alkyl-Aryl-Polyglykol- ether
Zur Herstellung einer zweckmäßigen WirkstoffZubereitung vermischt man 1 Gewichtsteil Wirkstoff mit den angegebenen Mengen Lösungsmittel und Emulgator und verdünnt das Konzentrat mit Wasser auf die gewünschte Konzentration.
Zur Prüfung auf protektive Wirksamkeit bespritzt man junge Pflanzen mit der WirkstoffZubereitung bis zur
Tropfnässe. Nach Antrocknen des Spritzbelages werden auf jedes Blat 2 kleine mit Botrytis cinerea bewachsene Agarstückchen aufgelegt. Die inokulierten Pflanzen werden in einer abgedunkelten, feuchten Kammer bei 20°C aufgestellt. 3 Tage nach der Inokulation wird die Größe der Befallsflecken auf den Blättern ausgewertet.
In diesem Test zeigt die Verbindung bei einer Wirkstoffkonzentration von 100 ppm einen 100%igen Wirkungsgrad.
Beispiel
Leptosphaeria nodorum-Test (Weizen) / protektiv
Lösungsmittel: 100 Gewichtsteile Dimethylformamid
Emulgator: 0,25 Gewichtsteile Alkylarylpoly- glykolether
Zur Herstellung einer zweckmäßigen WirkstoffZubereitung vermischt man 1 Gewichtsteil Wirkstoff mit den angegebenen Mengen Lösungsmittel und Emulgator und verdünnt das Konzentrat mit Wasser auf die gewünschte Konzentration.
Zur Prüfung auf protektive Wirksamkeit besprüht man junge Pflanzen mit der WirkstoffZubereitung taufecht. Nach Antrocknen des Spritzbelages werden die Pflanzen mit einer Sporensuspension von Leptosphaeria nodorum besprüht. Die Pflanzen verbleiben 48 Stunden bei 20° C und 100 % relativer Luftfeuchtigkei t in einer Inkubationskabine. Die Pflanzen werden in einem Gewächshaus bei einer Temperatur von ca. 15° C und einer relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit von ca. 80 % aufgestellt.
10 Tage nach der Inokulation erfolgt die Auswertung.
In diesem Test zeigt die Verbindung bei einer Wirkstoffkonzentration von 25 ppm einen über 80%igen Wirkungsgrad.

Cochliobolus sativus-Test (Gerste) / protektiv
Lösungsmittel : 100 Gewichtsteile Dimethyl formamid Emulgator: 0,25 Gewichtsteile Alkylarylpolygly- kolether
Zur Herstellung einer zweckmäßigen Wirkstoffzubereitung vermischt man 1 Gewichtsteil Wirkstoff mit den angegebenen Mengen Lösungsmittel und Emulgator und verdünnt das Konzentrat mit Wasser auf die gewünschte Konzentration.
Zur Prüfung auf protektive Wirksamkeit besprüht man junge Pflanzen mit der Wirkstoffzubereitung taufecht. Nach Antrocknen des Spritzbelages werden die Pflanzen mit einer Konidiensuspension von Cochliobolus sativus besprüht. Die Pflanzen verbleiben 48 Stunden bei 20°C und 100 % relativer Lustfeuchtigkeit in einer Inkubationskabine.
Die Pflanzen werden in einem Gewächshaus bei einer Temperatur von ca. 20°C und einer relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit von ca. 80 % aufgestellt.
7 Tage nach der Inokulation erfolgt die Auswertung.
In diesem Test zeigt die Verbindung bei einer Wirkstoffkonzentration von 250 ppm einen über 80%igen Wirkungsgrad.

Zur Prüfung auf protektive Wirksamkeit besprüht man junge Pflanzen mit der Wirkstoffzubereitung taufeucht. Nach Antrocknen des Spritzbelages werden die Pflanzen mit einer Konidiensuspension von Pyrenophora teres besprüht. Die Pflanzen verbleiben 48 Stunden bei 20° C und 100 % relativer Luftfeuchtigkeit in einer Inkubationskabine.
Die Pflanzen werden in einem Gewächshaus bei einer Temperatur von ca. 20°C und einer relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit von ca. 80 % aufgestellt.
7 Tage nach der Inokulation erfolgt die Auswertung.
In diesem Test zeigt die Verbindung bei einer Wirkstoffkonzentration von 250 ppm einen über 90%igen Wirkungsgrad.

1. 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid der
Formel (I)
2. Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrif luorid der Formel (I) nach Anspruch 1.
3. Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von Schädlingen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyanobenzotrifluorid der Formel 1 nach Anspruch 1 auf die Schädlinge und/oder deren Lebensraum
ausbringt.
4. Verwendung von 2,5-Dichlor-3,4,6-tricyano-benzotrifluorid der Formel 1 nach Anspruch 1 zur Bekämpfung von Schädlingen.
