  • the vehicle may also comprise a further light 14, located externally and housing a bulb 4 which, when lit up emits a light of a different colour from the preceding, for example bright violet, thanks to a special coloured protective light- cover 5, or thanks to the colouring of the bulb itself.
  • the light-cover 5 is of the transparent type, made of glass or plastic material.
  • at least one of the conventional lights of the vehicle can comprise a further bulb 4 in addition to the conventional bulbs, which further bulb 4 emits a light which appears externally as a different colour to that of conventional lights, for example bright violet.
  • the device of the present invention can further comprise, according to what is illustrated in figure 1, a circuit 6 which produces an intermittent lighting of the said bulbs 4 producing a light of a different colour.
  • the activation of the said bulbs 4 and of the circuit 6 happens by means of a button or lever 8 positioned on a dashboard 7 or in any case in a place accessible to the driver.
  • a circuit 6 can be inserted providing also for the automatic turning-off of the bulb 4 after a predetermined time, regulatable by means of a potentiometer command (not illustrated), from about 20 seconds to 15 minutes. It is also envisaged that the circuit 6 can be connected to at least one bulb, either conventional or not, for each light of the vehicle and that the said circuit is of the type providing a lighting-up and a turning-off in sequence of the said bulbs 4 to which it is connected, in such a way as to create a rotating-movement optical effect around the vehicle.
  • the bulbs 4, in the absence of the circuit 6, would have a continuous-type lighting commanded by the button or lever 8.
  • the circuit 6, connected to the front headlights 9 and to the posterior brake indicators 12 alternatingly would light-up and turn off the two headlights and the two brakelights, in such a way that one headlight and one brakelight would always be lit up.
  • a light and light-cover could be used which are conventional, but of a different shape than traditional lights, in particular triangular lights (recalling thus the triangles which car drivers, in cases of mechanical failure, should place at about 50 metres from the vehicle) to signal a situation of particular emergency and to call others' attention, constituting an invitation to others to proceed with particular care and attention.
  • the device of the invention in its various embodiments permits of providing every vehicle with an optical signal having the functions, respectively, of appealing for help or for care and attention, according to whether the vehicle is stationary or in movement.
  • a further advantage of the invention is represented by the fact that the device is extremely simple and economical.
  • a still further advantage of the invention is that the device can favour a reduction in the number of accidents since it activates a cautionary signal, and can enable more rapid help to be provided in the case of a stationary vehicle.

Dans le domaine des dispositifs de signalisation optique pour véhicules et embarcations, on a mis au point un dispositif émettant une indication optique d'une demande d'assistance ou de la nécessité de circuler avec une prudence particulière, au moyen d'une séquence spéciale d'allumage et d'extinction des feux du véhicule ou de l'embarcation, ou au moyen de lampes (1 et 14) présentant une forme spéciale ou étant équipées d'ampoules (4) émettant une lumière de couleur différente de celle des feux traditionnels.
