Abstract

The invention is used to filter signals out of an interference/useful signal mixture using the signal averaging method. The intention is to solve the technical problem of permitting the use of the signal averaging method even where it has so far been impossible to obtain the synchronisation signal or the period of the regularly occurring interference signal from the signal mixture. The process of the invention can also, of course, be applied if the synchronisation pulse could be found by technical measures. According to the invention, several signal averaging corrections are made in parallel in time with other freely selected intervals. After the repeated linear superimposition of the corrections, the correction signals are standardised and stored, these values or those derived from them are summed over all bases of a correction interval and stored and the period of the repeatedly occurring signal is found therefrom. The process can also be used even with changes in the frequency of the composite signal through a double signal averaging correction device set-up.
