  • the present invention is not concerned with surface texture but rather with the overall shape or configuration of a sheet. Accordingly, the invention contemplates foraminous sheets having a shape or configuration that may be described as embossed, contoured, dimpled, ridged or undulating. The invention also contemplates combinations of these shapes or configurations; for example, a sheet may have a dimpled portion and a ridged portion.

Further, it is not essential that the hills and hollows alternate. Indeed, by providing only indentations in one roller 32 and only protrusions in the other roller 32, a series of only hills or only hollows will result.
