Abstract

The disclosed staircases are characterized in that they are provided with supports or hangers (4). Said supports and hangers traverse the steps (5) through holes (9). Posts (3B) traverse the steps (16) through holes (15) provided in said steps. The upper end of the supports or hangers (4) is provided with a slot (10) which receives the stiffening element (1) to which is fixed astride an upside down U-shaped longitudinal (2) with rounded edges. The assembly of these modules is fixed by means of fixing elements. The steps (5 or 16) bear on the pegs (6 or 7) which are inserted in the holes (9a) provided in the supports or hangers (4) as well as in the posts (3B or 3E).

Description

STAIRCASES WITH OR WITHOUT LIMON WITH MODULAR SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a staircase with a modular structure, which applies in the present case to the design of straight, symmetrical staircases, with a single stringer, or without stringer depending on the desired model.

This invention is also adaptable to other forms of applications, relating to the use and with reference to the form of the structure to be produced.

This construction method differs from

prior techniques, as the case may be, by its absence of silt and by its rigidity equal to or greater than that provided therewith.

These staircases with or without stringer (Models l. To 6) are, depending on the case, made up either of vertical supports (4), which transmit the forces to the ground, or

directly, either by means of connecting keys (7), or of a suspensor, connected to the stiffener (1), as well as to said connecting keys (7).

These stairs also include identical steps (5) pierced at each of their ends, preferably rectangular holes (9) which allow the passage of vertical supports (4) or suspenders (4)

(Models 1 to 6). There are several types of vertical supports and suspenders (4), preferably rectangular, which are used depending on the model of staircase to be made:

- The support (4) "A" which is pierced with two vertical holes (9a), preferably rectangular superimposed

and spaced from a step height. (Mods 1 to 6)

- The support (4) "B" which is pierced with two vertical holes (9a) preferably rectangular, superimposed and spaced two steps high. (Mods 1.2.3)

- The support (4) "C" which is pierced by two vertical holes (9a) preferably rectangular superimposed and spaced three steps high (Mods1.2.3); - The support (4) of type "D" is provided with a single vertical hole (9a), preferably rectangular. (Mods 2.3.4.6) Each hole (9a) has two holes (14), preferably cylindrical, superimposed and placed so as to allow the passage of said fixing members, dowels (8). In these holes (9a) are inserted keys (6), or connecting keys (7) which support the steps (5) or (16) allowing the fixing of these ςi by fixing members. In the upper part of each of the vertical supports (4), a notch (10) is

practiced in order to fit a stiffener (1)

preferably rectangular. The upper end of the vertical supports (4) also have a hole (14) allowing their fixing with the stiffener (l) (Modsl to 6) A smooth (2) in the shape of an inverted U and whose external angles are rounded, comes settle on

This stringer (2) is provided, along the length of its lower face with a rebate (11) which makes it possible to fix it astride the stiffener (1) by means of

"covers (17)". The stiffener (1) is housed in a mortise made in the upper part of the posts (3B) and (3E). These posts (3B) and (3E) are preferably of square section and are fixed to the ground. The post (3B) is pierced with a vertical hole (9a) preferably of rectangular shape, arranged so as to receive a key (7). This key (7) preferably rectangular allows the maintenance, as well as the fixing of the landing step (16) which superimposes it. This landing step (16) is pierced towards each of its ends, with a preferably square hole made so as to allow the passage of posts (3B), as well as two preferably cylindrical holes (13). and others from the hole (15). These holes (13) make it possible to house a fixing member (20), intended to fix the steps (16), with the key (7). Pegs (8), screws (18), as well as bolts (20), called fixing members, allow the assembly of the different elements together and participate in the rigidity of the structure.

The dowels (8) are intended for fixing the

keys (6) and connecting keys (7) with the supports (4), as well as the stiffener (1) on the posts (3B) and (3E), (Models l. to 6).

Said fixing members, "screws (18)", are intended for fixing the arm (2) which is placed astride the stiffener (1), (Modelsl. To 6). Bolts (20) are used to fix the landing step (16), on the

connecting key (7). The bolts (20), whose rod passes through the holes (13), practiced for this purpose, on the one hand on the steps (5) on the other hand, in the key (6) or (7), are embedded in the shoulder of the holes (13) provided for this purpose, so as also to insert a cover (17).

This invention generates applications

industrial, by its particularity, which allows a simple and fast manufacturing of its different elements, easy to store. The manufacturing of this product is also based on an automatic calculation method, linked to the parameters relating to the constraints of the size of the location. For a staircase for example, these parameters represent:

- Height on floor = H

- The total depth of the staircase = P "Dimensions" From these parameters, calculation formulas make it possible to define the dimensions applicable to the elements. The originality of this process, of configurable design, allows a flexibility of implementation of the product by its possibility of standardization, as by its adaptation to specific implantations.

The advantage of these staircases also lies in the fact that they are easily assembled or dismantled by non-specialist personnel and do not require the assistance of special tools. The aesthetic aspect of these stairs is an additional advantage. The manufacturing principle of this product can also be extended to other applications. The key mounting system makes it special, and opens the field to other possibilities of use of the latter, such as:

- Curved, helical or spiral staircases, interior or exterior furniture, decorative cladding or cladding, banisters and railings, pergolas, open doors, etc.

Reference is made here to the said drawings, to describe the interesting, but non-limiting, mode of execution of the

stairs according to the invention. We have represented in (Models 1 to 6 and Figs 1.2), examples of application of

the invention, also applicable to the production of straight stairs, ramps, railings and

cladding in order to facilitate the graphic representation, but it should be remembered that the characteristics described in the following description also apply to curved, spiral, straight or helical staircases as well as to the production of clear doors pergolas.

Claims

1.- Stairs with a single stringer, or without stringer, to

modular system and with modular elements, characterized in that they comprise supports or vertical suspenders (4) (A, B, C, D), (Mods 1 to 6), which have the function of transmitting the forces, either

directly, either via keys (6) or connecting keys (7), which provide

the rigidity of the structure, while supporting the steps (5) or (16) on which these are fixed; The connecting keys (7), like the keys (6), pass through the supports or the suspenders (4) by

through holes (9a) arranged on the said

supports or suspenders (4) on which they are fixed by fixing members, dowels (8).

These vertical supports (4) comprise at each of the holes (9a), two openings (14), superimposed and arranged so as to allow the passage of the fixing members, dowels (8).

2.- Stairs according to the preceding claim,

characterized in that they comprise, by reference to the models (Mods 1 to 6), identical steps (5).

Depending on the model of stairs chosen, the steps (5) are pierced at each end, with one or more holes (9), each allowing the passage of vertical supports (4). Two holes (13) made on the steps (5), are intended to receive the fixing members, bolts (20) which fix said steps on the keys (6) or on the connecting keys (7), (Mods, 1. to 6).

3.- Stairs according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that they comprise vertical supports (4) of four types: The supports or suspenders (4) of type A, are characterized in that they are drilled two vertical holes (9a), preferably rectangular, superimposed and spaced apart by a single step height. (Models 1 to 6) Type B supports or suspenders (4) are

characterized in that they are pierced with two vertical holes (9a), preferably rectangular, superimposed and spaced apart by two step heights (Mods. 1 to 3).

The supports (4} of type C are characterized in that their height varies by (3h, 6h, 9h and successively) (Mods. There 3) according to the position where they are on the staircase. They are also characterized in they are pierced with two vertical holes (9a), preferably rectangular superimposed and spaced three steps high.

Type D supports or suspenders (4) are

characterized in that they are drilled with a single vertical hole (9a), preferably rectangular. (Mods 2.3.

6.- Stairs according to claims 3 or 5 characterized in that they comprise connecting keys (7), provided with holes (14), intended to receive the fixing members "dowels (8)", which provide the fixing connecting keys (7), with supports or suspenders (4), of types A, B, C or D (Mods 1 to 6). These connecting keys (7) also have the function of holding the steps (5) horizontally on which they are fixed by means of bolts (20). (Mods.1 to 6.).

7.- Stairs according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that they each comprise two posts at the bottom of the stairs (3B) and two posts at the top of the stairs (3E), (Mods. 1 to 6) fixed to the ground, by their base. On the other hand, the upper end of the posts (3B and 3E) is provided with a mortise (21), made so as to insert a stiffener (1) therein,

(Mods.l to 6). This stiffener (1) is held and fixed by means of fixing members, "dowels (8)", introduced into drilled holes (14), on the posts

(3B and 3E), (Mods.1). Only the bottom posts (3B)

stairs are provided with holes (9a), which

allow the insertion of the connecting keys (7), in order to maintain and secure the step (16) which they support (Mods. 1 to 6).

8.- Staircase according to the preceding claim

characterized in that it comprises a staircase starting step (16), pierced at each of its ends, with a hole (15) preferably of square section, allowing the passage of posts (3B) of identical section . On each side of these holes (15), are drilled shoulder (13), intended to introduce fixing members "bolts (20)", by means of which the step

(16) is fixed to the connecting keys (7).

9.- Stairs according to claims 7 or 8 characterized in that they comprise a decoration (19), fixed in the upper part of the posts (3B and 3E), (Mods. 1 to 6).

10.- Staircase, according to the preceding claim, for which we set the following parameters:

H = Height under floor.

P = total depth of the staircase.

These two parameters allow us to establish
