Description
A DEVICE FOR SWITCHING THE REVOLUTIONS OF ELECTRICAL, TWO-SPEED, PERCUSSION AND REVERSIBLE HAND
DRILLING MACHINE The present invention relates to a device for switching the revolutions of electrical, two-speed, percussion and reversible hand drilling machine wherein the switching is accomplished in idle, or in motion time and the device is finding application in the manufacture of hand electrical tools.
A device for switching the revolutions is known, comprising a switching clutch, mounted on slots over a worlking spindle, over which spindle on both sides of the clutch are freely mounted driven gears. The driven gears are permanently engaged to the driving gears on a countershaft. The freely mounted driven gears are axialy fixed by the reducer body and the remote pins passing freely through the apertures of the switching clutch body. The switching clutch represents a cylindrical body with a circular channel and a central slot aperture, into which from both sides are mounted spring pins movable parallely to the central slot aperture. The pins are able to .enter into the respective apertures of the driven gears mounted on the working spindle. The displacement of the clutch is realized through the U-shaped strap, mounted in an axle parallel to the spindle, whereas one of its arms is located in the circular channel of the clutch. For displacing the strap along the axle is provided a pin immovably and eccentricaly fixed in the front part of the switching button stem, mounted into the aperture of the reducer body. The pin is located in a channel shaped in the flat part of the U-strap, contacting frontaly the switching button. The switching button possesses a rotational capability of 130° and is provided with an element fixing two extreme positions.
The disadvantage of the known device is the low switching reliability owing to the separate control of the mutualy coupled elements mostly located in the ro
tating clutch. All this is involving in the large overall dimensions of the clutch, the great number of details and parts as well as clearances harmful for the switching process.
The task of the present invention is the realization of a device for switching the revolutions of electrical, two-speed, percussion and reversible hand drilling machine possessing high reliability and security of the switching in idle as well as in motion time, with a simplified and technologicaly appropriated construction.
According to the invention this task is achieved with a device comprising a switching frontal gear clutch mounted between two driven gears freely set on the wording spindle and permanently engaged to the driving gears axialy fixed to the body and in between separated through a one-side slotted spacer bush. In the clutch body is provided a circular channel into which is located the arm of an U-shaped strap monted to the axle fixed to the body and parallel to the working spindle. The U-shaped strap is connected by means of a pin to the switching button mounted to the body, possessing an element fixing by rotation two extreme positions. The pin is mounted to the stem of the button, which geometrical axle is perpendicular to the axle iixed to the body. According to the invention the pin is perpendiculary orientated to the geometrical axle of the button and is spring-fitted into a blind hole one-side bored in the stem, to which opposite to the pin is shaped a cammed surface. The pin is in contact with the internal surface of the U-shaped strap bended around the button stem.
The advantages o: the device according to the invention are as follows: a switching security is provided in idle as well as in motion time; the narmfull effect oi tr.e clearances during the switching process is avoided; the construction is simplified and the overall demensions of the elements o: the device are reduced. All these effects are achieved through the concentration
of the control of the switching clutch outside of the rotating parts, which enables a strengthening of the switching power and the maintenance of a constant stress level between the joints of the different elements.
An examplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown on the enclosed figures as follows:
Fig. 1. General view of the drilling machine with a partial section, showing the disposition of the rotor, the countershaft (the secondary shaft) and the spindle.
Fig. 2. General view of the reducer with a partial section showing the disposition of the gears, the spindle, the clutch, the spacer bush, the U-shaped strap and the switching button.
Fig. 3. Section A-A, showing the form and the disposition of the U-shaped strap, the spring pin and the switching button.
Fig. 4. Diagram of the dispositionof the details while swi tching on first speed .
Fig. 5. Diagram of the disposition of the details while switching on second speed.
The device for switching the revolutions of electrical two-speed, percussion and reversible hand drilling machine according to the invention consists of the following elements: switching frontal gear clutch (2} with tooths (3) mounted on slots over the working spindle (1) located between the driven gears (4) and (5) freely mounted on the spindle (1) with frontal channels (6) and (7), which driven gears are axialy fixed to the body (8) spaced by the one-side slotted spacer bush (9). The clutch (2) is provided by a circular channel (cannelure) (10) so as to upon the outside surfaces (11) is mounted the one-side slotted spacer bush (9).
The driven gears are permanently engaged to the driwing gears (12) and (13) positioned on the countershaft (H). In the circular channel (10) of the switching frontal gear clutch (2) is situated the long arm (15) of the Ushaυed strap (16) mounted on the axle (1 7) parallel to the spindle (1), fixed in the body (8). The inside sur-
lace (18) of the U-shaped strap (16) is in contact with the cylindrical surface (19) or with the cammed surface (20) of the reducer stem (2) of the switching Dutton (22) mounted in the body (8). The inside surface (18) of the U-shaped strap (16) is permanently compressed by the spring pin (23)mounted into the blind hole (24) of the stem (21) of the switching button (22). The hole (24) is situated perpendicular:/ to the cylindrical surface (19) of the stem (21) and opposite to its cammed surface (20). The switching button (22) is limited in two extreme rotational positions, which enables a continuous contact of the spring pin (23) with the U-shaped strap (16) by means the tooth (25), which is freely sliding in the semi-circular channel (26) shaped in the reducer body (3).
The device according to the invention is operating as follows:
When the first gear (speed) is engaged the cammed surface (20) of the switching button (22) stem (21) is pronped up to the short arm (27) of the U-shaped strap (16) while the spring pin (23) is compressed to the long arm (15) of the U-shaped strap (16). The long arm (15) passing through the slot of the one-side slotted spacer bush (9) and compressed by the spring pin (23) keeps the frontal gear clutch (2) permanently engaged to the driven gear (4) through the tooths (3), the channel (6) into the driven gear (4). The disengagement is acconalished through the rotation of the switching button (22) counter-clockwise and as a result of which the cammed surface (20) is disengaged from the short arm (27). The engagement of the stem (21) cylindrical surface (19) of the switching button (22) to the snort arm (27) corresponds to a disengaged (switched off) speed, when the switching frontal gear clutch (2) is disengaged from the driven gear (4). At the same moment the spring pin (231 neutraly compresses the inside surface (13) of the Usnaped strap (16). The separated driven gears (4) and (5) cy the one-side slotted spacer bush O) are freely counted on the wording spindle (1) and are driven by the driving gears (12) and (13) of the countershaft (14).
If the switching button (22) is further rotated, the spring pin (23) comes into contact with the short arm (27). As a result of the pressure of the spring pin (23), the U-shaped strap (16) is displaced along the axle (17) while with its long arm (15) moves the switching frontal gear clutch (2) to the stop in the front of the driven gear (5). The tooths (3) are frontaly pressed to the driven gear (5), owing to the pressure of the spring pin (23) until the coincidence with the frontal channel (7) of the rotating driven gear (5) and until the adherence of the long arm (15) to the cammed surface (20). At this moment we have the switching in second speed.
