TRANSPORT-VERPACKUNG FÜR ELEKTRONISCHE GERÄTETRANSPORT PACKAGING FOR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
BESCHREIBUNGDESCRIPTION
The invention relates to transport packaging for protecting electronic devices from damage in transit according to the preamble of claim 1.
It is known to store shock-sensitive goods, such as those represented by electronic devices, for transport and shipping in packaging which largely absorbs the impacts and forces which cannot be avoided during the transport of the goods and thus largely keep them away from the packaged goods. For this purpose, shock-absorbing materials are used in most cases between the transport container made of cardboard, plastic or solid material and the packaged device, which completely or partially fill the space between the transport container and device and thus form a so-called "crumple zone".
Foamed polystyrene, known in the vernacular as styrofoam, has proven itself as the material. The styrofoam is used in various design forms, be it as molded parts or half-shells 7 that completely or partially enclose the device or as small molded parts that are filled in as bulk goods between the transport container and the device.
Unfortunately, these styrofoam parts have the disadvantage that they are very difficult to dispose of after use. The steadily increasing environmental awareness forbids to simply store the polystyrene waste in landfills, since the polystyrene is practically non-rotten. A combustion is usually also ruled out because a high temperature (01000 ° C) is necessary and, apart from the costs, there is a further environmental impact.
Legislators have now dealt with the problem of disposing of used packaging. For this purpose, the packaging ordinance "VerpackVO" of November 14th, 90 was created. According to § 3 of this regulation, manufacturers and distributors are obliged to take back and dispose of transport packaging from 1.12.91. As a result, the problem of the destruction of disused packaging is increasingly coming to the fore.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, das schwer entsorgbare Styropor durch andere Materialien zu ersetzen, die die gleichen oder bessereThe object of the invention is therefore to replace the difficult to dispose of styrofoam with other materials that are the same or better
Have damping properties like polystyrene and can be disposed of easily. This object is achieved by the features characterized in claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
Thus, claim 2 shows the possibility of realizing the adaptation of the packaging elements surrounding the device by using spacers also made of corrugated cardboard.
According to claim 3, the damping property of the spacers can be varied in that contours are punched into the individual corrugated cardboard layers.
Claim 4 describes the use and design of U-profiles fastened to the main U-profile, the number and design (contour) of which enable the packaging elements to be varied with respect to the damping properties.
Claim 5 shows a possibility of protruding parts over the packaged device, such as. B. feet, to be considered in the design of the packaging elements.
The use of corrugated cardboard to produce shock absorption is known per se. So in DE-GM 1906464 is an existing corrugated cardboard Packaging pads revealed. This packaging cushion is formed from a flat corrugated cardboard blank, which is folded into several adjacent layers before use in the device packaging. Starting from the corrugated cardboard layer closest to the packaged device, at least one layer with a recess is provided which corresponds to the contour of the packaged device. With these recesses, the packaging cushion is placed on the device. A disadvantage of this type of packaging is that the damping properties are only variable to a limited extent in the case of an impact direction in the plane of the corrugated cardboard layers. In addition, the packaging pads must first be folded at the packing table, which is quite time-consuming and costly.
In contrast, the packaging elements according to the invention have the advantage that they can be placed on the device in a relatively short time and that they also obtain the desired damping property by varying the number and shape of the U-profiles used.
