The effect of camphor as a depot anaieptic. Disinfectants and local irritation are known. Kyrrhen oils are obtained from the air-dried juice of several species of the Commiphora genus and are used in perfumery to achieve oriental notes in perfume compositions.
From DE-A-21 50 297 medicinal healing ointments are known which, from natural fats (of animal or vegetable origin), alcohol, bee honey, yeast (all types), the active substances aloe, manna, rhubarb, citron, camphor, gentian, myrrh, Saffron, boar root, senna leaves, angelica, Venetian theriac, fragrances and possibly enzymes and hormones. GB-C-22 28 411 discloses the use of myrrh in conjunction with edible acids in ointments.
The object of the present invention is to provide a toning agent with very fast, residue-free absorption into the skin. The above-mentioned object is achieved by a toning agent for topical application, in particular in the case of contusions, distortions, hematomas, periostitis, sciatica syndrome and lumbago, consisting of
(a) pflanzlichen Ölen,  (a) vegetable oils,
(b) Campher,  (b) camphor,
(c) Myrrhe und  (c) myrrh and
(d) wenigstens eine oder Gemische von Genußsäuren.  (d) at least one or mixtures of edible acids.
The toning agent according to the invention is suitable for use in the care of the skin in the case of sports injuries such as bruises, strains, bruising or inflammation and irritation of the periosteum. In particular, it can also be used to revitalize and promote blood flow to the skin or limbs. A particular area of application is intervertebral disc problems such as sciatica and lumbago as well as general skin care after sporting activities with a positive influence on the muscles. Thus, the toning agent according to the invention can also be used as a massage oil.
In a particular embodiment of the present invention, the vegetable oils of the toning agent are selected from peanut oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, almond oil, olive oil, walnut oil and hazelnut oil. For the purposes of the present invention, peanut oil is particularly preferred.
Campher bzw. Camphor or camphor oils are commercially available in a variety of forms. For the purposes of the present invention, camphor is preferably used in the form of camphor alcohol. According to the German Medicinal Products Book DAB 9, this is an aqueous solution of 1 part camphor, 9 parts ethanol (90%) and 2 parts water.
Myrrh is preferably used according to the invention in the form of myrrh tincture, containing 1 part of powdered myrrh and 5 parts of ethanol (90%), produced by maceration, according to DAB 9. The task of the edible acids in the toning agent is to avoid fat residues of the agent and to improve the skin-friendliness. Preferred edible acids of the present invention are selected from citric acid, tartaric acid, malic acid and acetic acid. The acid can also be introduced in the form of fruit vinegar or fruit acid, for example. Citric acid is preferably used directly in the form of lemon juice, which is obtained by squeezing lemons. In particular, the natural ingredients of the lemon, especially its vitamins, are incorporated into the toning agent.
