- the present invention refers a linear guide system including at least one bar fixed in a bar retainer with a in a section essentially C-formed contact surface as well as along this a guided runner with at least one roll cooperative with said bar.
- Linear guide systems of this type have a great field of application where forward- and reverse movements occur, vertically or horizontally. They allow linear movements with high precision end strain. It may for example concern moving a robot along an operating area, a planing movement, a movement for a measuring instrument or a track bound transporter.
- the bar, against which of the runner roll runs, is fixed generally in the retainer by means of screws. It is also known to snap the bar into the retainer, but in this ca ⁇ e in order to obtain a steady fixation of the bar a pressing together of the retainer has to be carried out by means of an external rail or the like.

- the C-formed contact surface 12 of the bar retainer 11 is via a longtitudinal recess 16 forked into an upper 12a and a lower part
- the upper part 12a forms owing to the recess 16 a resilient tongue 17, whereby the bar 13 simply can be mounted by snapping it into the retainer 11. It should however be remarked that even if the recess is missing the retainer 11 may spring in sufficient degree to allow mounting of the bar 13.
- the clamping effect is owing to the displacement of radius in the retainer 11 very strong, and no further fixing means in the form of screws and the like is required, to obtain a steady fixation of the bar 13 in the retainer 11.
- a corresponding clamping effect is obtained with a radius of a part of the retainer 11 being somewhat deviant, ie. smaller than the radius of the bar 11.
- the profile 10 shown in fig. 1 exhibits inside bars 13, while with the profile 10 in fig. 3 the bars 13 are provided on the outside.
- Guide devices in which the runner is guided along a single bar also exist. More variants of the invention than those shown and described here are naturally conceivable within the scope for the subsequent claim. It should be remarked that in for example track bound systems guiding also may take place along curved paths, even if here for the sake of simplicity only been referred to linear guiding.
