Vorteilhaft ist ferner, daß die Anzeigeeinrichtung aufgrund ihrer besonders flachen Dimensionierung sowohl auf einer Instrumententafel, einem Armaturenbrett oder dergl. räumlich weitgehend unabhängig anbringbar, als auch fest zugeordnet und vorzugsweise versenkt bzw. bei entsprechender Gehäusegestaltung frontflächenbündig installierbar ist, wobei die Anbringung problemlos auch vom Anwender vorgenommen werden kann und keine Verschraubung erforderlich macht.
Ferner läßt sich bei einer maximal sinnvollen Ausbildung von Lichtkanälen in der Gehäuseschale und einer entsprechenden Anzahl von Leuchtelementen auf der Leiterplatte lediglich durch unterschiedliches Bedrucken der Frontplatte die Anzeigeeinrichtung für eine Vielzahl von Anwendungsfällen ausbilden und gegebenenfalls vor Ort dem vorliegenden Anwendungsfall anpassen. So kann die Anzeigeeinrichtung vorgesehen werden, kritische Betriebszustände zwischen Rad und Achse eines Fahrzeuges, beispielsweise bezüglich der Bremsbeläge, der Bremsen und/oder Radlagertemperaturen, der Rad¬ oder Achsbelastungen oder der Reifendrücke, aber auch hinsichtlich der Funktion von Antiblockier- und AntischlupfSystemen anzuzeigen, und zwar bezogen auf die Fahrzeuggeometrie positionsrichtig anzuzeigen. Dadurch wid eine ausreichende Abdichtung gegen Verschmutzung der Leuchtdioden erzielt, auch wenn zwischen der Wand 9 des Gehäuses 1 und der Leiterplatte 18 der Montage wegen relativ viel Spiel vorgesehen werden wird. Die Dichtwirkung kann dadurch noch verbessert werden, daß für das Gehäuse ein Werkstoff mit einem gewissen, elastomeren Effekt verwendet wird und an den Lichtkanälen gegebenenfalls geeignete Dichtlippen angeformt werden.FIG. 4 shows the particularly simple assembly, i.
