Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé de préparation de tri-O-acétyle-2-désoxyglucoside de méthyle qui consiste à faire réagir du tri-O-acétyle-D-glucal avec du méthanol en présence de bromure d'hydrogène ou d'une source de bromure d'hydrogène. Le tri-O-acétyle-2-désoxyglucoside de méthyle-α est particulièrement utile comme élément intermédiaire dans la préparation de dérivés d'acide mévalonique.
