Abstract

A tool combining in a single body round nose pliers, cable unsheathing pliers, cutting pliers, a wire cutter, a crimping tool and a cable sheath cutting tip, whereby electricians, mechanics and DIY enthusiasts working on low-voltage transmission lines need only use one tool for any work on cables or leads. The tool comprises two needle noses (1) and a ribbed opening (2); two cutting edges (3); two openings (4 and 7) for crimping cable saddles or red, blue or yellow cable lugs; a joint (5); an opening (6) for stripping electrical conducting wires having a cross-sectional area of 0.7-70 square millimetres and cables having a diameter no greater than 10 millimetres; a tip (8) for cutting cable sheaths having a diameter of 10-30 millimetres; two side wire cutters (9); and markers (10) for identifying conducting wires having cross-sectional areas of 0.75, 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6 and 10 square millimetres.
