Definitions
- Device and method for heating game balls for racket games, in particular squash game balls are provided.
- the invention relates to a device for heating game balls of racket games, in particular squash game balls, with a receiving housing for the squash game balls and a warm air blower.
- hollow game balls are used for squash games, which are each thrown back elastically and elastically by deformation forces when they hit a wall surface.
- the squash game balls often show the deficiency that they are only thrown back insufficiently and undefined in the cold state due to reduced internal pressure, as a result of which the incentive to play is adversely affected.
- Attempts have been made to heat the squash game balls and thus increase the internal pressure by hitting the squash game balls on the wall surface more or less frequently on the wall surface due to the deformation energy which occurs, so as to provide the prerequisite for better throwing back.
- the increase in internal pressure that can be achieved in each case is also indeterminable, which is the reason for different and possibly unfavorable game results.
- this task is by one Double-walled housing part and a double-walled housing upper part having a device housing with openings in the housing upper part that can be inserted and / or hung in openings that allow the air to be blown in and that hold the squash balls freely insertable, wherein the openings are individually overlapped by covering caps or jointly overlapped by a covering hood.
- a simple insertion process of the squash game balls into the device is necessary, into which the squash game balls are brought to the game temperature and remain until use. Under the influence of the warm air flow, the squash game balls are heated to achieve predetermined pressure conditions which give the squash game balls the property required for optimal play.
- the containers can be formed by pot-shaped inserts with through openings for the blower air formed in the peripheral surfaces thereof and support collars arranged at the open ends.
- latticework is used as a suitable peripheral surface. It is also conceivable to form the circumferential surfaces of the containers by means of a number of bars or strips arranged next to one another at a spacing, which allow passage openings to be created between them.
- the device there are at least two openings arranged in the upper housing part for receiving containers, each with an inserted and / or suspended container for receiving. me to provide squash balls.
- the holder of the containers can be chosen as desired, so it is also conceivable that the housing upper part has lead-through openings with converging edge surface sections and that the containers can be fixed on or at the edge surface sections by clamping.
- a hot air blower e.g. an axial or radial fan or a cross-flow fan can be used in connection with an electric heating register.
- the hot air blower is adjustable in the device housing, but is preferably arranged on a circuit board which is firmly connected to the housing upper part or the housing lower part.
- the warm air blower is gripped at a distance by a protective grille which is firmly connected to the circuit board.
- the arrangement of a temperature sensor protruding into the lower housing part for a temperature controller on the upper housing part has proven to be expedient. It goes without saying that a temperature meter can also be used if manual switching on and switching off of the device is desired.
- the hot air blower can be arranged anywhere in the device housing. It is thus possible to design the warm air blower to protrude in the peripheral region or in the center in the lower housing part. In the latter embodiment of the hot air blower, the hot air blower can be assigned a large number of openings for containers which can be inserted or hung in the lower housing part.
- a uniform fan air distribution in the housing of the device is obtained when the lower housing part, for example has a number of air ducts leading to the containers in the bottom area, the air ducts starting from a radial constriction, indentation or the like, starting from a, in particular conical, air distribution body associated with the outlet of the warm air blower in the center of the bottom surface of the lower housing part. are formed.
- the method steps for heating or keeping warm squash balls are that the squash balls are freely inserted into perforated containers and are held in a warm air flow by means of the containers.
- the method steps give the possibility of designing the device as desired. The essential is seen in that
- FIG. 2 shows a device opened, in plan view
- FIG. 3 shows a section of a device in the area of a through opening for a container
- FIG. 5 shows a partial section of a device according to a modified embodiment
- Fig. 6 is a lower housing part in plan view
- Fig. 7 shows a partial section of a device.
- 1 is a lower housing part and 2 denotes an upper part which can be plugged onto this.
- the housing parts 1 and 2 or 16, 17 of FIGS. 5 to 7 are made from a plastically deformable material. Furthermore, the housing parts 1 and 2, as shown in particular in FIG. 4, are double-walled.
- a warm air blower consisting of an electric motor 3 with an impeller 4 and a heating register 5, projects into the lower housing part 1.
- the hot air blower 3, 4 and the heating register 5 are fixed on a circuit board 6 and overlapped by a protective grille 7.
- the circuit board 6 is firmly connected to the upper housing part 2 in the exemplary embodiment.
- the upper housing part 2 has openings 8 for containers 9, which can be introduced into the lower housing part 1 via the openings 8.
- the edge surfaces 10 of the openings 8 are bent upwards and are frictionally encompassed by attached cover caps 11.
- the upper housing part 2 receives a rotary switch 12 for controlling warm air blowers 3, 4 and heating register 5 and a control lamp 13.
- 14 denotes a temperature sensor for a controller (not shown in more detail) which is fixed on the upper housing part 2.
- Squash balls 30 can be freely inserted into the containers 9 and exposed to a warm air flow via the perforated circumferential surfaces of the containers 9.
- the squash balls 30 are heated by the warm air flow to achieve certain pressure conditions inside them.
- the containers 9 are formed in FIG. 4, in the area of their circumferential surfaces, by a number of bars or strips 32, which result in spaces 31 through which the hot air flow reaches the interior of the containers 9. 3 shows a through opening 8 for containers 9 with converging edge surface sections 15. The edge surface sections enable a clamping hold of containers 9 inserted between them. It is understood that the squash game balls 30 can either be removed directly from the containers set in the device or after the containers 9 have been previously removed from the device by a Tipping process can be removed from the containers 9.
- 16 denotes a pot-shaped lower housing part, which carries an upper housing part 17 that can be plugged on.
- the lower housing part 16 and the upper housing part 17 are double-walled, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 5.
- a warm-air blower 18, which projects into the lower housing part 16, is fastened in the center of the upper housing part 17.
- the warm air blower 18 is surrounded by a protective grid 19.
- the top of the upper housing part 17 is overlapped by an attachable cover 20 with a handle 29, the edge surfaces of which engage in a fold 21 of the upper housing part 17.
- a number of openings 22 for increasing containers 9 are provided in the upper housing part 17, into which squash balls 30 can be inserted.
- the openings 22 are preferably offset from one another at a distance.
- a channel 23 is also provided on the upper housing part 17 for the supply of the mains cable to the warm air blower 18 and to the switching and control devices, for the attachment of which the upper housing part 17 has a flat surface piece in the peripheral area.
- a temperature controller is also arranged in the lower housing part 16.
- 16 channels 24 are provided in the bottom region of the lower housing part, which extend from the conical distribution body 25 to the containers 9. It goes without saying that the containers 9, as shown in FIG. 4, can likewise be formed by a number of rods in the area of their circumferential surface or have peripheral surfaces made of networks.
- the receptacles 9 stand in coaxial widenings 26 and are kept tilt-free by being supported by a support collar 33 on the boundary surfaces of the openings 22.
- a short container 9 for receiving squash balls in the manner of a carrying basket is freely suspended in the region of an opening 22 and is supported with an annular widening 28 on the edge surfaces of the openings 22.
