- the primary signal results from the closure of a proximity magnetic caprex acting as a microswitch, closure following the passage of a magnetized part fixed on the pulley, the sensor being supported by the frame of the pulley drive gearmotor, or by any other fixed part.

- the up-down counter input 23 also receives pulses from a second pulse generator 29 at frequency relatively low, by means of a switch 30 in neutral position placed under the dependence of the lever 14 of the housing; depending on the position of the lever on either side of its neutral position, the pulses increment or decrement the up-down counters 23 and 24.
- An output of the second up-down stage 24 of up-down is connected to a bistable 31 active when the second stage 24 takes the value zero; when the bistable is in the active position, it can activate a buzzer 32 and a control relay 33 intended to control a power relay supplying the windlass.
