  • the present invention relates to a juice extractor. More particularly, it relates to a juice extractor of the kind comprising a basic unit, including a stationary juice collecting bowl, provided with an outlet for collected juice at a lower portion thereof, and a driving shaft which is mounted for rotary movement and limited axial displacement in said basic unit and extends in an approximately vertical direction through an opening in the bottom of the collecting bowl and which comprises an upper portion, projecting into the collecting bowl to carry a juice extraction means removably mounted on the driving shaft for rota ⁇ tion by means of said shaft, and a lower portion, located below the collecting bowl and arranged for releasable driving connection to an electric driving motor through a friction coupling, the driving shaft being spring-loaded towards an upper end position in which it is disconnected from the driving motor, but from which it may be resiliently depressed to a lower end position in which it is drivingly connected to the driving motor.
  • juice extractors are previously known, wherein the juice extraction means consists of a gene ⁇ rally conical squeezer head and a surrounding strainer bowl, joined to the squeezer head at the lower end of the latter.
