Abstract

This application covers a working table allowing adjustment of height and/or angle of table top (4). Adjustment of height and/or angle of table top (4) is effected automatically, either continously or intermittently by means of a control device, preferably an electrical or electronic control.

Description

Workingtab.le
This invention relates to a working table allowing adjustment of height and/or angle of table top.
Tables of this kind are known, e.g. packing tables or cut- ting tables for slaugtherhouses or mounting tables, and the intention of the adjustability of the height and angle of the table top is to provide the user with a possibility of varying the strain of shoulders and back in the course of a working period, so that the strain is divided as equally as possible among the parts of the body mentioned.
The problem is, however, that the user forgets - or has not got the time to or knowledge of - making the necessary adjustments. There are as a matter of fact examples of hu¬ man beings who have already contracted permanent work re¬ lated injuries at the age of 40 or 50 because they have strained their shoulders or their back too one-sidedly.
The purpose of this invention is to remedy this serious problem, and for this purpose the working table is, according to the invention, unique in that the height and/or angle of the table top is varied continuously or intermittingly by means of a control device, preferably an electrical or electronic control.
As a consequence of this automatic adjustment of the height and angle of the table top, the strain of the shoulders and the back of the user will also vary, so that these parts of the body are relieved and thus spared pe- riodically, which is particularly beneficial to the durability and well-being of the joints.
The design of the invention is unique in that it has at least three table legs, the lengths of which can be va¬ ried, and in that the leg(s) turning towards the user can be varied lengthwise, independently of the leg(s) turning away from the user.
Thus it becomes possible to adjust the height and angle of the table top independently of each other according to the existing requirement.
In the following the invention is described in further de- tail, e.g. on the basis of a design as shown in the draw¬ ing, Fig. 1 and 2 of which show a front view of a working table with three table legs and a side view, respective¬ ly.
In Fig. 1 the two front table legs are marked with the figures 1 and 2, and the rear table leg is marked with the figure 3. The table top is marked with the figure 4.
The height of table top (4) can be adjusted by means of the table legs (1) and (2), and the angle of the table top can be adjusted by means of the leg (3), as the length of all three table legs (1-3), which are placed in tubes (5-7) telescopically, can be adjusted. They can be ad¬ justed independently of each other, the legs (1) and (2) on one side, and the leg (3) on the other, so that the height of the table can be adjusted without influencing the angle, and vice versa. It is of course also possible to design it in such a way that the outer telescope tubes (5-7) are movable compared to the internal legs (1-3).
The length of the legs can be adjusted continuously or in- termittingly during the entire working, period in order to obtain the wanted variation of the strain of the back and shoulders of the user.
The control of table top (4) adjustment possibilities can take place in various ways, e.g. by means of electronic devices, which can be programmed to control the varlaton dependent on the personal needs of the user.
