Abstract

In a process for using a seat-type toilet, urinal, or similar, foam is produced before excrements are deposited in the bowl. For this purpose a foaming agent is added to the flushing water in order to form a foam mat in such a way that the foaming agent reaches the bowl together with the flushing water and foam is produced simultaneously. The foaming agent is introduced into the flushing water pipe (17) by a flushing valve (10) arranged in the flushing water pipe (17), immediately below the air inlet opening (18) for the flushing valve (10), in particular shortly before the end of the flushing process, i.e. shortly before the pressure flusher (10) returns to its closed position.
