Description
Optische Einrichtung Optical device
The invention relates to an optical device for reproducing images, in particular an overhead projector, with a liquid crystal plate arranged in the image plane, an optical imaging system and a lamp and reflector arrangement accommodated in a housing.
The invention also relates to an optical device for reproducing images, in particular an overhead projector, with a liquid crystal plate arranged in the imaging plane with an underlying mirror surface and an imaging optics attached above the liquid crystal plate, as well as a lamp and reflector arrangement.
The invention is based on the object of developing overhead projectors of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that their possible uses become more diverse beyond the known possibilities.
This is achieved according to the invention for an overhead projector of the transmission type in that, in addition to the lamp and reflector arrangement, an externally accessible floppy disk drive is installed in the interior of the housing and is connected to a microprocessor such that the floppy disk is stored on an inserted floppy disk Data can be supplied as control signals to the liquid crystal panel.
Die Zeichnung zeigt in derFor an overhead projector of the reflection type, the object is achieved in that an externally accessible floppy disk drive, which is connected to a microprocessor, is installed beneath the liquid crystal plate and inside a housing carrying the liquid crystal plate, in such a way that the data stored on a floppy disk inserted can be supplied as control signals to the liquid crystal panel. The invention will be described with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing. The drawing shows in the

Fig. 2 ein Blockschaltbild zum überkopfprojektor gemäß Fig. 1.FIG. 2 shows a block diagram of the overhead projector according to FIG. 1.
An der Säule 12 ist mittels eines Tragarms 13 ein Halter 14 zur Aufnahme einer Optik 15 sowie eines Umlenkspiegels 16 höhenverstellbar angebracht.1 shows an overhead projector of the transmission type, which consists of a housing 11, in which a lamp and reflector arrangement of a known type, not shown, is accommodated and on whose outer wall a column 12 is fastened in an upright position. On the column 12, a holder 14 for receiving an optics 15 and a deflecting mirror 16 is attached in a height-adjustable manner by means of a support arm 13.
The upper side of the housing 11 facing the optics 15 is covered by a liquid crystal plate 17. The controllable driver switching arrangement of the liquid crystal plate 17 is connected to a microprocessor 18 which is connected to a floppy disk drive 19.
The floppy disk drive 19, like the microprocessor 18, is accommodated inside the housing. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the floppy disk drive 19 assumes a vertical position provided laterally in the housing. Floppy disks with stored data can be fed to the floppy disk drive 19 via a vertical slot 20. Operating keys 21 and an input keyboard 22 are provided for operating the floppy disk drive 19. The data stored on the floppy disk, such as writing and image, can be fed as signals via the microprocessor 18 to the driver circuitry of the liquid crystal element, as a result of which the physical properties of the liquid crystal element on the liquid crystal plate the optics 15 and the deflecting mirror 16 can be projected onto a projection screen. For this purpose, signals are stored on the diskette in accordance with a text or illustrations by means of a computer, which signals are then routed to the liquid crystal plate 17 via the microprocessor 18 if necessary. The conversion algorithm of the microprocessor 18 is designed in accordance with the operating system of the computer.
The main advantage of the subject matter of the invention is shown in that the texts and images supporting a lecture and to be projected can be stored on a diskette and then the diskette can be stored by the lecturer anywhere in an existing overhead projector in the slot 20 of the floppy disk drive must be inserted in order to make the images accompanying his presentation on a projection screen visible to a large group of listeners in an enlarged view.
If the columns 12, the support arm 13 and the holder 14 carrying the optics 15 and the deflection mirror 16 are designed to be collapsible or detachable, the overhead projector itself can even be conveniently transported to any desired location.
In the case of an overhead projector of the reflection type, the housing 11 can be made lower because the lamp and reflector arrangement is accommodated outside the housing, and the floppy disk drive 19 is expediently arranged in a horizontal position below the liquid crystal plate 17 inside the housing 11.
