Abstract

Les systèmes générateurs de l'art antérieur utilisant des entraînements à vitesse constante à compensation électrique (ECCSD) ont nécessité en général d'un moteur démarreur séparé pour démarrer un moteur principal qui fournit la puissance moutrice à ECCSD, augmentant ainsi les dimensions et le poids du système. De manière à résoudre ce problème, le système générateur décrit est pourvu d'un circuit couplé à des enroulements d'alimentation électrique d'une machine à aimant permanent (PMM) formant une partie du ECCSD pour que la PMM développe une puissance motrice qui fasse tourner un arbre de sortie d'un différentiel du ECCSD à des vitesses croissantes. Lorsque l'arbre de sortie du différentiel atteint une vitesse prédéterminée, un générateur (12) couplé à l'arbre de sortie du différentiel est alimenté avec une énergie extérieure qui à son tour fait fonctionner le générateur (12) comme un moteur, et cette puissance motrice est renvoyée par l'intermédiaire du différentiel au moteur principal (16) pour le faire démarrer et l'amener jusqu'à sa vitesse de fonctionnement.
