Abstract
Le doigt de la personne à examiner ou à identifier est roulé sur une surface (4) pour empreintes digitales, une empreinte digitale contrastée et non déformée étant produite dans un dispositif optique pour empreintes digitales (17). Ensuite, l'image de l'empreinte digitale est numérisée directement, ou bien tout d'abord enregistrée par une caméra vidéo (6) puis numérisée. A partir des données numérisées de l'image de l'empreinte digitale, on produit une image présentant des demi-teintes qui est ensuite convertie en une image binaire puis affichée sur un écran de contrôle (11) et/ou stockée dans une mémoire (7).
