Definitions

  • a device for receiving objects of value A device for receiving objects of value
  • This invention relates to a device for receiving objects of value, such as money or valuable documents, from per ⁇ sons delivering these, comprising a receiving apparatus for the objects of value having an opening preferrably closable by means of a cover or the like, through which opening the persons in question can deliver the objects of value.
  • Service boxes Devices of this kind, which in every day parlance are called "Service boxes", are installed by banks and the like in conjunction with the respecitve bank office for enabling receiving of money at times when the banks are closed. It concerns in practice generally day's takings from firms, shops or the like. It is desirable for the shop undertakings to be able to daily deliver cash flown in as soon as possible after the closing of the shop in order to reduce the temptation of burglery in the shop.
  • a disadvantage of the system described consists in that staff from the respective shops has to move the money from the shop to the service boxes located at the banks. The risk of robbery during this transfer is considerable, which makes this transfer operation mentally very trying.
  • the object of the present invention is to show how to solve the problem discussed above.
  • this object is obtained by the fact that a receiving apparatus is arranged on a vehicle having an opening which can be made free by a door, that there are means for arranging the receiving apparatus in such a position in the vehicle that the re ⁇ ceiving apparatus is located with its opening accessible through the door opening and that the receiving apparatus, together with possible parts connected therewith. substan ⁇ tially completely fills up the door opening.
  • the invention is based on the idea to make the whole receiving device for objects of value mobile so that the vehicle in question can be driven to the shops and on the spot receive the money or receiving day's takings and the like from these.
  • This mobile embodiment of the value receiving device results in substantial advantages because the shop staff are not any longer forced to transfer the money over long distances, but they can instead deliver these to the vehicle driving between the shops.
  • the risk of robbery is thereby considerably decreased. Further the risk of robbery decreases even more by the fact that the value receiving device is located in a vehicle which all the time changes its- position and is manned by a quali ⁇ fied guarding staff.
